Christian Bautista recently released his new album Soundtrack. The album is a collection of different songs from famous movies. “My new album po is Soundtrack, it has a lot of songs na paborito nating lahat parang collaboration ‘to ng Universal, ng my management na pinili talaga namin ‘yung appropriate talaga for this season,” he shared.
Apart from being busy with his album promotion, the singer shared that he is set to fly to London next year to watch his friends Mark Bautista and Rachelle Ann Go in their respective theater plays. “Yes, I’ll be there in January 2014 panonoorin ko silang dalawa so I’m very excited, sana makakuha ng ticket kasi nagkakaubusan na daw. Bakasyon na rin, kailangan natin yan,” he said.
Like his friends, Christian admitted that he also wants to play in a big theater production in Europe someday. “One of my dreams also na magkaroon ng the right role for me and dadating din siguro sa tamang panahon. Siguro ngayon wala pa, mag-focus muna ako dito sa Philippines, I am very happy with what I’m doing. Sana someday kung para sa akin ay maabot ko ‘yun,” he said.
Christian also reacted to the issue of being constantly compared to his colleagues. “Kanya-kanyang view naman yan eh, kanya-kanyang pananaw. Ang lagi ko lang sinasabi is pag kino-compare kami sa isa't isa hindi maiiwasan na i-compare kami, ang iniisip namin may kanya-kanya kaming daan, so baka nauuna ‘yung iba ngayon, baka ‘yung iba pit stop muna, so depende sa kanya-kanyang daan, dapat suportahan,” he stated.
When asked if he has regrets leaving ABS-CBN, Christian commented, “Hindi pwedeng magkaroon ng regrets, talagang ‘pag nagkaroon ka ng isang desisyon kailangan tuloy-tuloy mo ‘yun. Pero hanggang ngayon mag-kaibigan kami ng mga staff sa ASAP, hanggang ngayon magkakaibigan kami sa mga dati kong kasama sa ABS(CBN).”
