Jolina Magdangal sets record straight on ‘past relationship’ with Marvin Agustin

110314-jolina_main.jpgWith their onscreen reunion happening again soon, returning Kapamilya star Jolina Magdangal finally clarified what truly transpired between her and perennial love team Marvin Agustin.

A good 12 years since she left the network, Jolina has finally set the record straight as to whether or not she and Marvin used to be a couple during her first live interview on The Buzz’s Sunday episode.

Jolina and Marvin’s tandem was born in 1996 in the teen-oriented TV series Gimik. From then on quirky Jolina and shy Marvin had been inseparable as they headlined TV sitcoms and rom-com movies such as Labs Kita Okay Ka Lang?, Hey Babe, and Kung Ayaw Mo Huwag Mo.

Past rumors noted that they tried to become a couple, however fate had other plans as Jolina is now happily married with Rivermaya member Mark Escueta and is already a mother to their son Baby Pele while Marvin is now a father as well and a renowned producer and restaurateur.

After a decade, Jolina and Marvin will be reuniting again onscreen at the Kapamilya network for their upcoming soap Flordeliza.

Noting that her husband is a fan of their love team, Jolina went on to share the reason why her onscreen romance with Marvin probably didn’t push through off screen because “Siguro baka hindi pa ‘yun ang panahon.”

She further explained, “Hindi baka lang talaga bata pa kami noon.

A few days since she officially inked a contract with ABS-CBN for her return as a Kapamilya, Jolens, as her fans used to call her, shared that she remains on a high and very emotional over the warm welcome that she received and is continuously receiving from the network and the fans.

According to Jolina, she’s very grateful to the ABS-CBN management for welcoming her back home.

Binigyan nila ako agad ng project tapos napakagandang project and because of this I will be forever thankful and grateful sa ABS,” she ended.
