102614-ggv_main.jpgAssunta De Rossi and Angeline Quinto, stars of Star Cinema’s latest film Beauty In A Bottle, recalled what their insecurities were in the past on Gandang Gabi Vice’s latest episode.

Assunta stated that she was very conscious then when people saw her as stupid or ‘bobita.’ She said that as a kid, she and her family moved a lot because of her father’s occupation in the Navy. Assunta said they lived in England, moved twice in Italy then eventually settled in the Philippines when her father retired. It was hard for her to adjust in her new environment, even admitting that she hated going to school and had disorders such as compulsive spending and dissociation. Dissociation is described in Psychology as mild detachment to immediate surroundings. She said her view of herself changed when she became an actress.

Meanwhile, Angeline said she is very conscious of her weight and is continuously trying to maintain her 115 lbs. figure through a strict diet and sit ups. The singer admits she was 160 lbs. at her heaviest. When asked if she would gain back her weight if love interest Erik Santos said he likes chubbier women, Angeline was quick to reply no. “Mas mahal ko ang sarili ko,” she said to Vice Ganda.
