After finally meeting up again, Jeron Teng admitted he was happy to spend time again with Jane Oineza at a big get together organized by the Official JaRon fan group held last October 19 at The Lounge in Quezon City. “Ito yung first time na magkikita kami after nung Dubai trip niya. These past few weeks, we've been busy especially her. She has tapings, workshops so ngayon nag-shu-shoot siya for MMK (Maalaala Mo Kaya),” he shared exclusively with Push.com.ph.
The 20-year-old basketball player for the La Salle Green Archers admitted he was happy to get closer to his and Jane’s fans at the get together which included over 70 guests from various JaRon fan clubs. “Yeah I'm really overwhelmed. I really didn't expect this at all. When I got here parang wow it was really a shock for me na may mga set-up pa with all the balloons, parang nakaka-overwhelm talaga. And happy naman ako kasi siyempre now I found out that there are people like them supporting me,” he admitted.
Although earlier reports said he had already admitted that Jane is his ka-”M.U,” the DLSU forward wanted to clarify his definition in case people assumed they were already in a relationship. “Yun definition ko kasi ng M.U is that we both understand our situation and we both know that we're focusing on our careers first so yun ang pina-prioritize namin and we have a mutual understanding about that. But we still talk, we talk a lot and magka-text kami, mga ganun. No rush naman dahil we're both still young. Inuuna namin talaga yung career namin,” he explained.
Jeron said right now he and Jane are just enjoying spending time together. “When we go out usually may kasama kaming common friends. We like going out for dinner, kain lang tapos kuwentuhan yun lang. We got a lot of similarities like we both love watching movies—mga DVDs—and sa music,” he added.
Jeron even admitted that his family shares his opinion of Jane. “Hindi naman sa showbiz siguro, siyempre happy lang sila sa akin. Nababaitan talaga yung family ko sa kanya. When I was in the hospital for dengue a month ago, Jane visited me with her mom. That's why she met my family, my mom and my sisters. Na-meet siya ng mom ko, sabi niya mabait daw talaga. Late na yun and she came from work pa tapos she went straight to the hospital pa. Kinamusta nila ako at nagdala sila ng cake, ayun tapos usap usap lang,” he shared.
Jeron said he did not need to clarify anything with is family because he is not a player when it comes to courtship. “They know naman siguro na lahat ng liligawan ko serious naman. I mean, I'm that kind of guy naman eh. Happy naman sila and supportive sa whatever choices that I make,” he said. And when it comes to Jane's parents, Jeron makes sure they get to know him as well. “Comfortable naman ako sa kanila. Kinakausap ko yung mom niya and mabait naman yung mom niya.”
With the UAAP season now over, Push asked Jeron if this means he will get to spend more time with Jane but he said no matter how busy their schedules are they are always in touch. “Now we're just resting and soon we'll prepare for our next league which is the Collegiate Champions League. Kami ni Jane lagi kaming nag-uusap so like everyday I find out something new about her. Mahirap na sabihin pero marami,” he said. Jeron also told us the real story behind a photo of them hugging tightly at an event which fans have been clamoring to find out about. “Kasi it was a concert and there were lots of people. I think that was the time when she was about to leave na and I gave her a goodbye hug I think. From what I can remember ha, I think that was a goodbye hug. Kasi she left earlier than me eh,” he said.
The handsome chinito also shared with Push what his ideal date with Jane would be like. “Kahit ano naman eh, even just a simple dinner would be special with her because she's really fun to be with and sobrang saya ko talaga every time I'm with her,” he said. When asked if he thought Jane was the ideal girl for him, Jeron shyly admitted, “Sobrang nakaka-stress yung question (laughs). She's the type that guys will really chase after.”
