Rachelle Ann Go said that she is currently single and that she wants to stay focused on her career in theater at the moment. The singer is currently playing the role of Gigi Van Tranh in the London production of Miss Saigon. “Desisyon ko naman talaga ngayon na mag-focus lang talaga sa career. Wala, mag-isa ako don eh, wala din naman time [for dating]. I do eight shows a week, Sunday lang ‘yung off ko, kumbaga time ko na yan sa sarili ko.”
Rachelle relayed that she has no suitors as well. “Wala rin kasi hindi rin naman kasi ako lumalabas after the show. Tapos ‘yung kasama ko sa cast puro mas babae pa sa akin, mga pogi talaga sila lahat, matipuno pero wala babae pa talaga pero sobrang close ko sila lahat,” she said.
When asked about the status of her relationship with Slater Young who was dating the singer before she flew to London, she commented, “Okay kami. Nag-uusap kami, ‘yun lang. Kumbaga kung ano ‘yung napag-iwanan namin noon tapos na ‘yun, move forward, that's it. And we're both happy with whatever we have and with whatever careers we have right now.”
The singer relayed that she already got used to the independent life and learned to deal with homesickness. “Ngayon medyo nasanay na. First two months hindi ko naramdaman ‘yung homesickness na sinasabi nila kasi sobrang naging busy, umaga hanggang gabi ‘yung rehearsal namin, every day and after that andami ko ng time at don ko na naramadaman ang family ko na-miss ko. Ngayon okay na kasi meron namang Skype, Facetime, every day.”
She relayed that her family will be heading to London next month to watch Miss Saigon. “Next month pupunta ‘yung family ko sa London. First time nilang manonood so good luck sa mapapanood nila sa akin pikit na lang sa akin pero si papa lang hindi makakapunta,” she said.
Rachelle is thankful to all the Filipinos in London who are constantly supporting her in the show. “May mga Pinoy, actually ‘yung first two months wala pa masyado, sabi ko bibihira pala ‘yung mga Pinoy sa London? Pero nong nagsimula na ang Miss Saigon every night nag-aabang sila, walang gabing wala akong nakitang Pinoy.”
