Juan Karlos “JK” Labajo said that he’s very happy about his The Voice Kids co-finalist Darren Espanto’s soaring career. In an exclusive interview with Push.com.ph at the recently-concluded Jolly Kids Club event which he attended with Darlene Vibares and Lyca Gairanod as the newest endorsers of the local fast-food chain together with Darren, he shared that they are actually have “all out support” for one another.
“First of all congrats kay Darren. Wow ang layo na ng narating mo bro then you already have your concert,” he blurted out. JK emphasized that “Opo, all out support naman po kami sa isa’t-isa.”
Darren, who is now being touted as a “Total Performer,” recently staged his sold-out first solo concert at the Music Museum. It was also during his concert that he announced that he would be releasing his debut album before the year ends and that there would be a repeat of his successful concert “at a bigger venue” come December 19.
After appearing on the primetime soap Hawak Kamay, JK revealed that he’s still currently awaiting for his next project. “Kasi hindi ko pa po alam kung anong other shows na gagawin. Kaming anim we have many guestings na naka-schedule and mga mall shows,” he said.
JK continued that he would rather wait for the management to formally offer him a project rather than preempting whatever it is that they have planned for him. “May nagsasabi ng teleserye about something pero hindi ko pa po talaga sure. Hindi ko po muna sasabihin kasi baka sabihin ko tapos mali lang po,” the young charmer reasoned out.
How about his own album? “Actually may nagsabi rin po na kaming apat we’ll have our solo albums [pero di parin final]. So ‘yun po. We’ll also have our Christmas album, ‘yun po ang sure na talaga,” JK revealed.
While many of JK’s ardent fans are starting to become impatient about his career, the Team Bamboo member, despite his tender age, is confident about what would be his career path. “Kasi hindi ko pa po talaga alam kasi… may nasasabi po talaga na kaming apat po talaga we will have our own directions pero hindi po sabay-sabay,” he ended.
