“Wala naman pong nag-walkout.” This was Kim Chiu’s opening phrase during the blog conference of her upcoming film “Bride for Rent” on January 8 as an explanation to what happened during her film’s grand press conference the night before where a veteran columnist reportedly walked out of the venue after being offended by the actress’ response to her question.
“Wala naman pong nag-walkout and nag-sorry naman ako and siguro na-misinterpret lang. Siguro may mga bagay na kapag inuulit ulit… ikaw kapag tinanong kita ng paulit ulit tapos ang sagot ko ulit ulit din. Magagalit ka kasi ulit ulit lang rin ‘yung sagot ko,” she explained calmly to the press.
According to reports, Kim was grilled during the previous press conference about the true status of her relationship with Xian Lim to which she replied with, "Ako, sinagot na rin namin to sa last presscon namin [ni Xian]. We don't owe you any of our personal lives siguro. You can think whatever you want to think as long as you're happy when you watch us on TV, nakikita niyo kung paano kami ma-inlove, ganyan. And 'yun na 'yon."
"And lahat naman tayo merong mga hindi dapat i-share o dapat i-share, and it's our choice, and I hope you guys respect that," she said the night before.
Kim believes that the said incident is proof that “Siguro may mga bagay na sadyang hindi naiintindihan ng ibang tao.”
Was she annoyed by the fact that the said question is being asked to her over and over again?
“Hindi naman nakulitan. Siguro medyo lang. Tao rin naman kami kahit artista kami may nararamdaman rin naman kami kapag medyo nasisindakan kami or like kapag medyo iba na ‘yung klase ng pagtatanong. Pero wala ka talagang ibig sabihin dun,” said the Primetime Princess.
Once again, she stressed that nobody walked out and “Kung may na-offend man pasensya na po.”
Late last night Kim posted a tweet that she “can’t sleep” which many presumed to be due to what transpired at the press conference.
Early this morning though, the Kapamilya star was a little more positive as she posted a photo of herself in a wedding gown on her Instagram account with the caption that read: "People will hate you, rate you, shake you and break you. but how strong you stand is what makes you." good morning!!!:) today is another day!:) God bless everyone!:) #goodvibes #spreadthelove #thankful#grateful brideforrent jan 15 na!:)”
According to Kim what got her through the night were the fans that have showed their unwavering support despite the controversy.
“Yeah kagabi sobrang naramdaman ko sa Twitter ko [at] sa Instagram ko sobra nila akong pinagtatanggol. Pero sa lahat kasi ng nangyayari sakin nandiyan na sila sa likod ko eh. All out support sila as in sobra akong happy, sobra akong thankful,” enthused Kim.
She admitted though that she felt bad after the press conference so much so that she felt that “gugunaw na ang mundo ko kagabi pero hindi pala” because “There’s always a rainbow after a little rain.”
“Ang lungkot lungkot ko tapos nagbasa ako ng Twitter at Instagram ay parang nabuhay ang loob ko,” she said even adding that she’s happy and grateful to have her fans in her career and in her everyday endeavors and the fact that she can reach to them anytime through various social media platforms.
Not only did her fans reach out to comfort her but also a couple of press people, she sad, “Nag-tweet din sila sakin and nagpasalamat ako.”
