Sam Milby says he plans to introduce Jessy Mendiola to his parents when they both have free time.
After taking part in his first Metro Manila Film Fest entry last
month, Sam Milby said he was satisfied with what his movie Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel was already able to accomplish.
“We're very, very happy sa mga reviews,
yung comments and the fact also na kasama sa MMFF, that's also a big thing
and it's doing really well. Iba naman
kasi, wala kaming trailers na pinakita sa TV. It's all through
word-of-mouth, through social media so the fact that we're still in the top
four, we're very happy with that. Ito ang
pinakamadaming action na ginawa ko sa kahit anong project and it was more
the training sa mga action scenes,”
Sam said he attended public screenings of his movie just to
see the reaction of his fans. “Dalawang
beses ko na napanuod actually. I wanted to be able to watch it more on
Christmas day but yung lang yung araw na
makasama ko yung pamilya ko. I was able to catch the last showing at Glorietta.
Sobrang happy ako kasi iba naman kapag normal showing kesa sa nag-special
screening kami. Ibang iba naman pag normal showing na punong-puno siya, it was
sold out and nakita ko yung mga reactions nila. Siyempre masarap tumawa kapag
holiday season. Hindi rin nila alam nung mga tao na nandun kami ni Miss
Eugene Domingo,” he recalled.
When asked if he was already able to introduce Jessy
Mendiola (who he is rumored to be courting at the moment) to his family, Sam
admitted he has not been able to take her to watch his movie or introduce her
to his parents who are currently in town visiting from the United States. “Hindi pa. Hindi pa nangyayari. My parents
are here. Kahit ako I haven't been able to spend that much time with my family.
May trabaho pa rin and they understand naman my work. It's just nice lang na at
least kahit sa pasko we get to spend time with each other,” he shared.
The Kapamilya hunk said he is just waiting for the right
time for the introduction to happen. “The right time is pag may time (laughs). Kasi
we haven't even talked about kung anong ginagawa niya, plans niya this holiday
season break so ayun, tingnan natin,” he said.
Although they haven't had time to hang out because of their
busy work schedules, Sam said they have managed to maintain constant contact
and nothing has changed between them. “It's not that it died down. We haven't
had much time to see each other. Sobrang
busy din siya sa lahat ng mga projects niya but we still keep in contact. We
always hope for the best naman. If I doesn't work out then you know naman that
it just wasn't meant to be and we're better off as friends,” he explained.
