Vhong on why he decided tp break his silence: 'Kung di ko lalakasan ang loob koà I'm sure pwedeng ulitin kung di man sa akin, sa mga iba pang kasamahan natin sa industriya o yung mga ordinaryong tao n
Finally sharing his side of the story, a severely bruised Vhong Navarro tearfully claimed in an interview with Buzz Ng Bayan
aired on Sunday that he was beaten up and harassed by a group of men led by a certain Cedric Lee who insisted that he raped a certain Deniece Milinette Cornejo, the woman whom he met inside the condominium unit in Taguig City.
Vhong insisted during his interview that he never raped anyone and that he came to Deniece’s unit upon invitation. The first one was last January 17 and the second one was last January 22 when his mauling happened.
While he underscored that there was “no sexual intercourse” Vhong admitted that something happened between them saying that, “Kasi ako hindi ako gagawa ng move kung wala siyang naipakita na something o motibo na may gustong mangyari. May nangyari po pero walang sexual intercourse.”
But despite Deniece calling him a “bad boy” after their first meeting, Vhong claims that “Maayos po ang paghihiwalay namin kasi kung ayaw niya eh di sana sumigaw siya ng rape. Sana meron akong kalmot paguwi, may mga galos ako o meron siyang sakal or what pero wala po. So maliwanag po na gusto niya ‘yung nangyari.”
The second meeting, according to Vhong, felt somehow weird as Deniece seemed unprepared for his visit when they have already planned about it because the It’s Showtime host even brought food to her place.
Vhong then claimed that he was mauled at gun point by Cedric, who introduced himself to him during that night, and another man while his feet and hands were bound.
So nung blinindfold nila ako naririnig ko may nagpasukan at may sumapak napo sakin ulit.
After which Vhong was once again attacked by what he thinks around six to seven men before one of them initiated the extortion and said that he ought to give Deniece P200,000 for the “damage.”
According to Vhong he could only agree to whatever they were saying because, “natatakot ako eh, baka mamaya kung ano ang sunod nilang gawin. Baka barilin nalang nila ako.”
But then he said Cedric decided to increase the rate to P500,000.
After this incident a certain Mike approached him and told him, “Oh dadalhin kita sa presinto ha, ipapa-blotter kita.
Vhong says he can no longer recall the exact place where the police station was located.
While at the police station, Cedric once again decided to up the rate to P2million but Vhong claimed that he can only give P1million and his captors agreed.
After which the police then dropped him off back to the condo where his car was parked. But before he left Cedric and Mike asked for his mobile number for the “transaction” of the money that he’s supposed to give to Deniece.
“Hindi ko alam kung ano ang magiging reflection nito sa career ko, hindi ko po alam kung ano ang kakalabasan nito sa lahat,” he enthused after relating his terrible ordeal.
Amid this controversy, Vhong insisted that he didn’t rape anyone.
“Hindi ako rapist hindi po ako nagdadrugs, matino po akong tao, may takot ako sa Diyos may respeto ako sa magulang ko,” said he.
After what happened to him, Vhong realized that “’Wag tayong magtitiwala kahit kanino kasi hindi natin alam kung sino ba ang mabuti at hindi.”
Although he’s yet to reveal as to whether he plans to take legal actions in the future, the actor-comedian prays that he’d be able to obtain justice because “ayoko na itong maulit sakin o kahit kanino.”
