As one of the new game masters in Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles, Robi Domingo said he is excited and nervous at the same time to be part of the show's second season. “Hindi madaling maging parte ng show dahil si Matteo (Guidicelli) marami nang nasalihang triathlon competitions. Si Iza (Calzado) kilalang fitness enthusiast tapos sina coach Jim and Toni Saret pa. Kaya kailangan ko ring mag-work out nang mas maigi bukod pa sa nakasanayan kong training. It's going to be revolutionary not just for the contestants, but also for the whole Filipinos because we're not just going to show stories. but we're going to show you guys how to work out properly,” he said.
Robi shared that the new season will have some big changes from the original season which first aired in 2011. “Sa season two makikita niyo na instead of the doubles competing with the other doubles, sila mismo nag-aaway. So it's an interesting kind of thing to see the dynamics between the doubles like may nagsisisihan na parang, 'Ikaw kasi, natalo tayo kasi hindi ka nagpapayat!' and then the coaches and game masters are different, the games are very, very interesting. Maski kami ni Matteo pag nilagay mo kami sa position nila, hindi namin kakayanin. Kaya bilib na bilib kami sa mga contestants and Iza Calzado is doing a great job. Dito hindi lang namin tutulungan silang pumayat pero tutulungan din namin hilumin ang mga sugat na natamo nila emotionally. Nandito kami para ipa-realize sa kanila na ito ang nangyari sa buhay nila pero may magagawa sila. Walang dahi-dahilan,” he explained.
After proving his worth in a slew of Kapamilya shows, Robi said his newest show has a very different dynamic when it comes to hosting. “I-compare na natin, PBB (Pinoy Big Brother) is a reality show where you have to observe people and talk about them, The Voice is about singing and tapping the potential of the contestants, here in Biggest Loser you can't really do anything except motivate them and see real results. Hindi mo madadaya yung taong sobrang inaatake na sa puso, punong puno ng taba, tapos malalaman mo na lang after some months, wala na yung condition niya na yun, okay na okay na siya. It's really heartwarming and very heartfelt yung mga moments ko with them kasi naka-connect ako sa kanila eh,” he said.
Robi admitted the Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles is his most challenging hosting job to date. “Yes ito talaga. Kasi I've never told anyone to do something. As a game master you're just playing but on the serious side, tinutulungan mo sila, mino-motivate mo sila na, 'Okay guys, hindi diyan nagtatapos ang buhay niyo.' You empathize with them not just look down on them or look at them. You really get their emotions and tell them that there's a long way to go but I'll be there with them,” he added.
