Coco Martin is not Captain Barbell
012314-Coco_Main.jpgCoco Martin denied that he was going to be taking on the roles of the iconic Mars Ravelo hero Captain Barbell. In a recent interview during the media junket of his upcoming film with Superstar Nora Aunor titled Padre de Familia, Coco shyly noted that he might not fit the character due to his physique. "Hindi. Ang liit ko,” he said, laughing.

If ever though, Coco said that he can take on the “normal” alter-ego of the superhero known as Tengteng, who’s characterized as someone thin and weak in the comics. Ako 'yung normal,” he said.

What if the role is offered to him in the future?

Meanwhile, fans missing Coco can look forward into seeing him again on TV, apart from his new film Padre de Familia. "Baka mag-start na ako itong end of January.

Padre de Familia, according to Coco is a drama of the modern Filipino family and the sacrifices being made by the OFWs as well as the loved-ones that they left behind.

Directed by multi-awarded filmmaker Adolf Alix Jr., Padre de Familia stars Coco Martin, Julia Montes, Nora Aunor, Joem Bascon, Baron Geisler, Joel Torre, and Miles Ocampo, among others.
