Derek, Cristine reveal reason for coming out with their relationship

<div><img src='' alt='090913-DerekStine_Main.jpg' width='305' height='290' align='left' border='0'>While many celebrities opt to keep their private relationships out from the public’s scrutinizing eyes, new couple Derek Ramsay and Cristine Reyes have openly shared their love story from the get go.<br/><br/></div><div>During a joint taped interview aired on <i>The Buzz </i>on Sunday, Derek explained that he simply cannot contain his happiness about his newfound love that he felt like he had to share it.“<i>Madaming nagtatanong bakit namin nilabas kaagad, hindi namin tinago.</i> From my end, I’m very happy so hindi ko kayang itago ito,” he said.Recall that it was Derek who broke the news to the press a week ago, saying that they officially became a couple last August 28.</div><div><br/></div><div>Cristine, who in a previous <a href='http://Push.com.ph'>Push.com.ph</a> report, was still in disbelief that she’s now in a relationship with a former good friend revealed that despite skipping the courting stage, she appreciates the fact that Derek was the one who initiated to formalize their entire unexpected, whirlwind love affair.</div><div>“<i>Ang gusto ko sa kanya</i>, very formal.<i> Parang wala ng gumagawa ng ganun</i>,” Cristine shared.</div><div><br/></div><div>Derek said that they strangely formalized things inside the car, after a press conference attended by Cristine where she was grilled by the press as to the true status of their relationship.</div><div>“I was so nervous it was like high school. Even though<i> sinabi niya sakin na malaki ang </i>chance <i>ko</i> on going past the boundaries of friendship,” shared the Fil-British actor.</div><div><br/></div><div>Cristine on the other hand was a little bemused while sharing that Derek was very anxious when he asked her the question that made their relationship turn to a complete 360-degrees. “<i>Wala sa</i> character <i>niya as in sobrang nahihiya sya sakin na ako hindi ako masyadong makapagsalita kasi nasu</i>-surprise <i>rin ako kung pano siya,</i>” said the <i>Bukas Nalang Kita Mamahalin </i>star.</div><div><br/></div><div>The Kapatid star then recalled that he used the word “risk” in asking Cristine for her prized “yes.”</div><div>“<i>Sabi ko</i> I’m willing to take the risk so I asked if she’s willing to take it too,” he recalled.</div><div>Then Cristine finished it by saying, “<i>Sabi niya</i> ‘Will you be my girlfriend?’ <i>Sabi ko </i>‘Yes. I want to be your girl but not just your girl. I want to be your best friend. I want to be your everything.’”</div><div><br/></div><div>The<i> No Other Woman</i> actors both admitted that taking their friendship to the next level was a huge risk on their part but according to Derek, he would try his very best to make their relationship work.</div><div>“All I can say is I’m going to give everything. She knows how serious I am,” he said.</div><div><br/></div><div>Before they got together, Cristine was in a relationship with Rayver Cruz, while Derek’s last girlfriend was Angelica Panganiban.</div><div><br/></div>
