Bangs Garcia admitted that she never had a boyfriend from show business. When asked why, the sexy actress relayed, “I’ve never been with a showbiz guy before at tinatanong din ako ng mga best friends ko kung bakit daw hindi ako nag-boyfriend ng showbiz, siguro may wall ako.”
But the Davaoeña actress relayed that if the guy is boyfriend-material and could passed her standards, she might give it a shot. “If ever may dumating sa buhay ko na may potential na maging siya ang right guy for me then why not?” She’s also single at the moment that she sees no reason at all not to entertain suitors from showbiz. “I’m not dating anyone right now and I’m getting mature and I think wala naman sigurong masama na mag-boyfriend ako ng showbiz.”
The actress stars in an indie movie titled Lauriana this September which according to her is her most challenging role to date. “It’s very challenging, in fact the most challenging role I ever portrayed in my life,” she remarked.
On her preparations for the movie, she said that she used method acting in order to portray her role. “Nag-method acting ako, nag-dwell ako sa sarili kong emotions,” she explained.
She also utilized her imagination in her portrayal since Lauriana is a complex character. “Pero in my case may mga experiences kasi si Lauriana na hindi ko naman na-experience sa totoong buhay so I have to use my wide imagination para mas maging realistic ‘yung acting ko at para ‘yung mga pinakita kong scene is makatotohanan,” she said.
Her role was also very daring that she said it might be her last one of the kind since her family is very conservative. “My most daring and my first and last, kasi ang mom ko conservative, actually my whole family is conservative and medyo ayaw na niya eh pero sabi ko naman sa mom ko na hindi naman totally ‘yung nasa script ‘yun na ‘yun, pwede namang i-improvise. Tsaka I didn’t feel that I was taken advantage [of], sobrang inalagaan ako ng director,” she shared. But what would make her decide to play another sexy role again? “Kung mapapantayan niya ang ganda ng story ng Lauriana, ganon kaganda ang story na ginawa ni Ricky Lee.”
Lauriana is directed by Mel Chionglo and written by Ricky Lee. Regular showing will be from September 11 to 17, 2013 exclusively in SM Cinemas nationwide.
