Rayver Cruz feels confident that Derek Ramsay will take good care of Cristine Reyes

Nevertheless, he maintained that he’s happy for his old flame and her new beau. Last week, the Fil-British actor confirmed that he and the <i>Bukas Na lang Kita Mamahalin </i>actress officially became a couple on August 28.</div><div><br/></div><div>In an exclusive interview with Push.com.ph during the special screening of his new soap at SM Megamall last August 30, Rayver shared that it’s probably high time for Cristine to get into a new relationship. “Happy <i>ako para sa kanila. Matagal naman ng wala kami ni</i> Cristine <i>eh. Siguro</i> it’s about time<i> na rin, isang taon na rin na wala kami. Hindi mo maiisip pero ambilis na eh di ba? Ambilis ng panahon</i>,” he said.</div><div><br/></div><div>As for Derek, Rayver said he is certain that he would be a good boyfriend for Cristine since they have been friends for so long. “<i>Kaibigan ko naman si </i>Derek before <i>pa lang. Totoo naman yung sinabi niya na yung</i> foundation <i>andun parin kasi magkaibigan naman talaga sila. Magkakaibigan kami noon. Alam ko naman na maaalagaan siya ni</i> Derek.”</div><div><br/></div><div>He even added that Derek is a “kind” and “decent guy” who knows how to take care of the woman he’s in a relationship with. Moreover, Rayver said he trusts that Cristine isn’t the type to just jump into a relationship just for the sake of it. “<i>Kasi siguro para kay</i> AA <i>mas importante yung</i> <i>mag</i>start as friends <i>kasi mas okay nga naman kasi kung yung ka</i>partner <i>mo </i>or <i>yung karelasyon mo is your</i> best friend <i>di ba? Mas maganda yun kasi mas</i> comfortable<i> kayo sa isa’t-isa. Kilala mo na siya bago naging kayo. Mas</i> okay<i> naman talaga yung ganon,</i>” he explained.</div><div><br/></div><div>But does he feel slighted that he wasn’t informed ahead of time about their brewing romance? “<i>Hindi eh. Hindi naman siguro kailangan pagusapan eh di ba? Kumbaga hindi na kailangan pang pagusapan pa</i>,” underscored the dancer-actor.</div><div><br/></div><div>As for him, Rayver said he will just be patiently waiting for the right woman to come along. “<i>Hindi naman kailangang madaliin yan eh. Katulad yung sa kanya dumating na yung sakanya. Eh di hintayin natin. Dun kami parehas ni</i> Cristine,<i> hindi naming hinahanap. Darating at darating yan,</i>” he explained.</div><div><br/></div><div>In parting, Rayver said that his friendship with Cristine remains intact almost a year since they parted ways, saying that “<i>Hindi naman nagbago yung samahan naming ni</i> AA eh. <i>Magkaibaigan pa rin kami. Dito lang naman ako</i> as her friend <i>kung kailangan niya.
