Billy Crawford admits he is ready to move on from his breakup with Nikki Gil
090513-Billy_Main.jpgAfter returning from a month-long vacation in the United States to be with his family, Billy Crawford is back and busy promoting his upcoming Star Cinema movie Momzillas. In the comedy flick, Billy plays the role of Maricel Soriano's son and the fiancé to Andi Eigenmann's character.

During the making of the film, talks were ripe that Andi was the cause of Billy's recent breakup with longtime girlfriend Nikki Gil. The 31-year-old actor put the issue to rest during the grand presscon for Momzillas held last September 3 at the Dolphy theater inside ABS-CBN. “Andi became a friend of mine through the film as well. We became close, that's really true and it wasn't Andi's fault kaya I really apologized to Andi kasi nadadamay siya sa personal life ko. And that's bilang respeto ko rin sa lahat ng kasamahan ko dito. I don't mean harm to anyone or for anyone. Pero sa totoo lang, kaya ayaw ko masyado magsalita kasi they already made up their minds and hahaba at hahaba pa yan so I already closed the chapter, closed the book and I'm ready to move on and it's a blessing to be with the people here and that's all I've got to say,” he said.

The Momzillas actor said he and Andi became even better friends while working on the set together.  “I already met Andi before when she was doing Agua Bendita with Matteo Guidicelli nung nag-a-ASAP pa siya and of course sa lahat naman dito, we all get to know each other more and more everyday so dun nag-develop yung chemistry namin ni Andi at pag pinapagalitan din kami ni Direk (laughs) na kailangan mag-usap kaming dalawa. And we had to get to know each other regardless for the movie anyway. Napakabait at kawawa nga siya kasi na-food poisoning yan pero andito pa rin siya ngayon kahit may sakit siya,” he admitted during the presscon.

Billy said he has accepted the fact that people have come to think the worst of him after the breakup. “Nakakahiya lang sa mga kasamahan ko kasi when all the news came out, naging bading ako, naging adik ako, na-link ako sa tatlong babae, yun isa buntis daw sabi. Ang masasabi ko lang, people have already made their decision, whatever or whoever they are, and they will speculate kahit anong mangyari kasi talagang open book lahat ng buhay namin,” he shared.

When it comes to working with Maricel Soriano, Billy said he already considers her as family and even refers to the Diamond Star as “mama.” Despite their closeness, Billy said they did not discuss matters like his breakup. “Alam mo kami ni mama, on and off set lahat yata pinag-uusapan namin. And actually kinakausap ko si mama hanggang alas-kuwatro ng umaga kasi pareho kaming hindi makatulog and I think for that aspect hindi ako nag-elaborate kung anong nangyari kasi that's a personal decision for my life at saka hindi na niya ako tinanong. Nirespeto ko even more lahat ng kasama ko dito kasi they really treated me like their family for the months that we've been working with each other. Kaya on and off cam, kahit nung hindi na kami nagtratrabaho, nag-uusap usap pa rin kami kaya kahit anong mangyari, I'm here for them and I know they're here for me,” he said.

The talented singer-actor also said he is thankful that working with the cast of Momzillas has been a painless process. Aside from Maricel Soriano and Andi Eigenmann, the movie also stars Eugene Domingo, Candy Pangilinan, and Joey Paras. “Alam niyo first time actually na makatrabho ko mga tao na never nagkaroon ng issue. From day one na nag-meet. First time ko rin makatrabaho si Miss Eugene at Miss Maria. Si direk Wenn (Deramas) actually yung pinaka-close ko dito sa lahat and it's such a blessing to walk in sa trabaho at sobrang gaan ng pakiramdam. Lahat naman dito I'm sure may pinagdadaanan and lahat naman tayo may pinagdadaanan sa buhay. Pero pagdating namin sa isa't isa, wala kaming pinag-uusapang problem. Kaya dun ako blessed, that I actually met these people for a reason kaya sobrang happy ako and I would love to work with them again if given the opportunity,” he admitted.
