Matteo Guidicelli on Sarah Geronimo: 'We're friends, that's it'

100113-Matteo_Main.jpgMatteo Guidicelli admitted he is excited to take on a new role in Galema: Anak ni Zuma and be reunited with his Agua Bendita co-star Andi Eigenmann after three years. “Sa Galema ako si Morgan, a journalist reporter and hinahanap ko dito kung bakit pinatay ni Zuma yung family ko so I'm on a quest to find kung bakit pinatay yung family ko. Kami ni Andi three years ago was the last time we worked together and feeling ko kami we 've gone through so much so pag kami nasa set na, the way that we look at each other is very different from three years ago. We're very, very excited kasi parang iba na kami, we've matured a lot at sobrang excited to be on set and to do scenes together,” he said.

Being single, Matteo said he is used to being linked to his leading ladies. The Fil-Italian heartthrob said that he and Andi have already become as close as family. “Last time nung nasa Agua Bendita kami, yung tinginan namin sa isa't isa parang brother-sister, pero sabi ko sa kanya parang nag-evolve na kaming dalawa at we've matured. Sobrang ganda si Andi. I don't know (laughs),” he said.

Although he is rumored to already dating The Voice of the Philippines coach Sarah Geronimo, Matteo clarified that he never admitted anything regarding the real status of his relationship with the Popstar Princess. “Wala naman akong sinasabi na nililigawan ko si Sarah. Pero wala, my time right now is sobrang concentrated ko sa Galema at naghahanda talaga ako for taping so gusto ko itong project, I really wanted to put credibility in myself and gusto ko talaga gawin yung 110% ko dito. We're friends, that's it. Galema muna yung liligawan ko (laughs). Hindi ko alam basta as of now, you know I live by the day so today Galema muna,” he explained.

Since his new show deals with snakes, Matteo was asked whether he has ever had a breakup because somebody was “naahasan.” “Siyempre di ba sa buhay natin hindi naman perfect lahat, may mga negativity talaga. But I guess in every circumstance you always have to look at the positive side of everything o kumbaga if there's a negative issue, always look at the positive and grow from it,” he said.

The 23-year-old actor-triathlete also weighed in on showbiz folk dating exes of other celebrities. “Siyempre hindi maganda di ba kung paikot ikot lang palagi pero you can't help it if you really love somebody, it's your true feeling you’re following di ba?” he added. Matteo has since commented that he is happy for ex-girlfriend Maja Salvador who is now happily in a relationship with Gerald Anderson.
