Enrique Gil on doing kissing scenes: `Hindi pa ako ready`

092813-enrique_main.jpgAs he enters his last week of playing the role of Francis De la Vega on the Primetime Bida series Muling Buksan Ang Puso, Enrique Gil admitted that he always feels the pressure whenever he is doing a teleserye. Quen (as he is fondly called) previously earned praise for his roles in Budoy and Princess and I.

“When I work on a project, I get excited in a sense na dapat maganda yung show, yung mga eksena ko dapat okay lahat. Yung nasa isip ko kung anong gagawin ko, kung magustuhan ng tao eh di okay. Kung hindi, dapat matuto ka at gawin mo ulit. So yun lang ang nasa isip ko dapat. Sa bawat project ko, gusto ko makuha ulit yung tao. Gusto ko sumama sila sa story namin. Kasi ang nanagyayari dati sa Princess and I, kung ano yung gagawin namin, kasali sila sa story namin kaya na-in love sila sa show na yun. So gusto ko yung mga tao kumapit sila sa story, kasami sila sa story namin, so yun talaga yung goal namin dito sa show,” he said.

When it comes to his co-stars, Quen admitted he was most impressed to work with veteran actress Susan Roces who plays his overprotective grandmother in the series. “Actually nagulat ako kay tita Susan eh nung naka-eksena namin. Lahat nakikita niya. Ang galing. Na-o-observe niya lahat and it's the little things that nakakalimutan mo na importante sa eksena, sinasabi niya,” he shared.

The 21-year-old heartthrob also talked about Julia Montes. “Pagdating sa teleserye iba talaga yung connection, mas intimate kesa sa movie. Maganda nga pag teleserye kasi mas mahaba yung time na magkasama kayo, halos three times a week or four times a week na magkasama so mas naging close talaga,” he admitted.

Despite having more bonding time, Quen said he is not yet ready to do kissing scenes with Julia or any other girl onscreen. “Siguro sa ngayon hindi pa, hindi pa talaga. Hindi pa ako ready. Pag dumating na yung araw na kailangan na kailangan yun, magiging ready po ako. Huwag kayong mag-alala (laughs),” he said.

After being single for quite some time, Quen said he is happy to have the time to just focus on his career and friends. He said he is not looking for a girlfriend at the moment. “Kailangan ng isang tao na siya ang talaga na may something para mabukas ang puso ko,” he said with a smile.
