Mitoy Yonting gets the highest public vote

<div><img src='' alt='090413-mitoy_main.jpg' width='305' height='290' align='left' border='0'>On Star Patrol on September 2, Mario Dumawal featured<i> The Voice of the Philippines</i>’ OFW singer Mitoy Yonting of Team Lea.</div><div><br/></div><div>Mitoy got the highest text vote of 82% from his concert-like rendition of Queen’s classic rock  “<i>Don’t Stop Me Now</i>.” The Voice of the Philippines Live Show was held last September 1 at the Newport Theatre, Resorts World.</div><div><br/></div><div>Mitoy, according to the report, doesn’t think that he is already the winner. “<i>Hindi ako nagho-</i>hold back <i>pero hindi rin ako nagre</i>-relax<i> kasi alam ko</i> anytime, <i>kumbaga sa</i> boxing <i>‘pag di ka dumipensa, matamaan ka ng isa</i>. Win or lose [<i>gusto ko] ma-</i>express <i>ko sa tao na</i> singer/performer<i> ako talaga</i>.”</div><div><br/></div><div>Another top contender is another OFW singer, Janice Javier of Team Apl who earned a standing ovation from all four judges with her powerful performance of “<i>I Believe I Can Fly</i>.”</div><div><br/></div>
