Nikki Gil on love: 'I'm definitely not closing my doors'

Basta mararamdaman ko na ‘yun kasi ang alam ko naman na ang Panginoon ay may plano para sa akin</i>,” she said.</div><div><br/></div><div>She further relayed that she’s not giving up on love. “<i>Hindi naman ako nagdaan don sa</i> bitter stage <i>na ayoko, ayoko, ayoko ng ganyan.</i> I’m definitely not closing my doors.”</div><div><br/></div><div>The actress said that she has definitely moved on from her breakup with Billy Crawford and left that chapter of her life behind. “I have moved on definitely, okay<i> na po ako. Kasi naibaon ko na po eh.</i>” According to her, keeping things private has helped her recover fast and that she’s thankful to everyone who respected her silence. “Okay <i>na ako </i>and <i>siyempre dala ‘yan ng mga tulong ng nasa palagid ko rin</i>. I really appreciate everyone who respected my silence of course <i>dahil bukod sa </i>I understand <i>na </i>you are in the public eye, <i>may mga bagay na</i> I would have preferred to keep to myself, so m<i>alaki pong tulong ‘yung naibigay na respeto sa akin.</i>”</div><div><br/></div><div>Nikki is set to star in the upcoming Kapamilya teleserye <i>Maria Mercedes </i>where she plays a kontrabida role. When asked if she’s drawing emotions from the recent events of her life on playing her character, she commented, “<i>Ang Maria Mercedes naman po kasi nakita niyo naman po siya, ano siya </i>fun, light,<i> hindi naman po siya singbigat nong mga nakaraang teleserye, pero</i> of course, by still dealing with the issues in life, feeling <i>ko hindi ko pa naman siya,</i> so far ha,<i> hindi ko lang alam ang itatakbo ng karakter, pero</i> so far<i> hindi ko naman pong kinailangan humugot sa kailailaliman</i>,” she said.</div><div><br/></div><div>But did her experiences help her to evolve as an actor? “Defintiely, <i>lahat naman po ng pagsubok sa buhay </i>will not only make you a better person but also will make you a better artist because you become in touch with the very foreign emotions, with the very unfamiliar experiences in your inner <i>man na mga pagsubok lang ang magdadala sa ’yo</i>, so definitely<i> nakakatulong siya sa </i>growth mo as a person and also as an artist,” she said.</div>
