Kris is proud that Bimby is showing sufficient focus even at such a young age for his debut film Torky and My Little Bossings
On top of being one of the country’s top endorsers, talk show host and box office actress, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino is first and foremost a mother to her two sons, Bimby and Joshua. Now that her youngest son is bound to make a showbiz debut through the film Torky
and My Little Bossings
, Kris just couldn’t help but turn into a stage mother.
“Ito yung first movie ni Bimb so gusto ko talaga mag-look back siya fondly on this. Natutuwa siya na siya naman ngayon,” said Kris during a tape interview aired on The Buzz on Sunday.
According to the Presidential sister, she’s very proud of the huge amount of focus that Bimby has been showing for the craft as early as now, for his first film.
“Para alam niya kung ano yung trabaho talaga na focused dapat. Nagbe-behave naman so nakaka-proud. Ang gusto ko talaga yung lumalawak ang pagtingin niya sa kung ano ang meron sa mundo,” related Kris.
Kris, who was very visible on set even if the film was still on its early stages of production, shared that she’s also very pleased to see that her son is comfortable with the people that he’s working with especially with young host Ryzza Mae Dizon.
“Ang nakita ko lang talaga is nagtutulungan sila. Pero napapansin ko lang may shyness pa ng konti kay Ryzza. Sinabi niya sakin ‘Ang name po naming kasi masa kami ‘Bi-Ry’ sabi ko ‘okay kung yan ang gusto mo ‘Bi-Ry’ go,” the KrisTV host shared laughingly.
To those saying that she has been too eager in having his son join showbiz, Kris has clarified that she was only offered this project by Vic Sotto and that in fact she actually took some time to assess the offer before grabbing it.
“Nagkataon lang talaga that this opportunity arose and nung talagang in-offer nila sakin for Bimb to be part of this and for me to co-produce it, I thought about it talaga and I discussed it with my family tapos na-realize ko na ngayon lang darating yung opportunity na ito na cute pa siya, maliit pa siya. Gusto kong gawin and gusto ko na masubaybayan ko,” shared she.
But even if her son to cager James Yap has already had his first dibs on acting, and notwithstanding an offer for one season of Wansapanataym courtesy of his godfather, Kris remains wary to make Bimby go full time in showbiz.
“Ayoko lang na mag-suffer ang school because he’s doing well. Okay siya academically tapos sa sports he’s on the taekwondo team and nandoon siya sa swim team na so prioritizing lang talaga yan. Ayokong ma-deprive siya of a childhood also kasi puro trabaho, so tignan nalang natin,” explained the prized Kapamilya host.
Meanwhile, Kris has undoubtedly been a very hands-on mother to her children, but since her split with estranged husband James Yap two years ago her lovelife has seemingly taken a backseat. Until lately, when her Instagram account has been seen with cryptic quotes pertaining to love which made many believe that the Queen of All Media is in love.
“No comment talaga kasi I deserve privacy and happiness,” she quipped
Her life has been very open to the public ever since, now, Kris has opted to keep her personal matters private and that includes how happy she is as of the moment.
“Okay naman. Ayokong sabihin na happy na happy ako kasi maraming gustong maging sad ako, kaya okay lang,” Kris said.
She added, “Hindi ako magsasalita kasi may nagsabi sa akin na if you let that aspect of your life private mas may chance na mag-progress, mag-develop at maging maligaya. So mas maganda na tumahimik nalang ako.”
