Rayver Cruz denies dating Bb. Pilipinas finalist Imee Hart

080913-Rayver_Main.jpgAfter a couple of weeks since his cozy photos with Binibining Pilipinas 2013 finalist Imee Hart spawned rumors online, Bukas Nalang Kita Mamahalin star Rayver Cruz has finally spoken about the rumors linking him to the beauty queen.

“Ilang beses ko siyang nakasama dahil kaibigan [siya] ni Diane [Medina, his brother Rodjun Cruz’s longtime girlfriend] pero hindi ako official na nanliligaw or hindi kami official na nagde-date. Talagang friends lang kami,” Rayver clarified to Push in an interview during the ABS-CBN Trade Event held recently at One Esplanade, Pasay.

Months after Rayver and his Bukas Nalang Kita Mamahalin co-star and now ex-girlfriend Cristine Reyes announced their breakup on national TV, the dancer-actor confessed that he still isn’t ready to go back into the dating scene yet.

Despite describing Imee as “very beautiful” and “very kind,” Rayver bluntly continued, “Pero para sakin siguro hindi pa rin ako ready talaga magaka-girlfriend ulit… Kung meron akong nililigawan or pinu-pursue sasabihin ko naman eh. Bakit ko naman ikahihiya ‘yun? Pero as of now tag-busy muna talaga sa trabaho ako,” the 24-year-old Kapamilya star noted.

According to Rayver, he’s currently enjoying the freedom of being single along with the company of his friends. “Hindi ko naman kasi masasabi na nakikipag-date ako kasi ang date di ba pag kayong dalawa lang kapag may gusto kang i-date? Parang lumalabas lang ako with friends so minsan may name-meet rin ako na new friends parang ganon lang. Pero kapag may official na nililigawan na ako siyempre gusto ko dine-date ko rin. At tsaka wala pa naman,” he reiterated once more.

To those who might ask about their sweet photos, Rayver jokingly said, “Lahat naman yan niyayakap ko eh, kayo naman. Sweet lang talaga ako.”
Like Cristine, Rayver said that he’s also hoping that the next person he would be giving his heart out to would be “The One.”

Siyempre lahat naman tayo eh… Sino ba naman ang may gusto na papalit palit pa ‘di ba? Hintayin nalang natin. Ako hindi ko naman hinahanap eh, darating at darating yan,” Rayver declared with obvious certainty.
Is there no chance that this perfect girl would still be Cristine? Is their romance really a closed chapter already? “For now oo. Pero siguro as friends hindi pa siguro. Yun nga sabi ko nga sa ‘yo kahit ilang years pa ang lumipas, magkapamilya man kami ng sarili namin magkaibigan pa rin kami.”

Not that their relationship was doomed from the start, but according to Rayver, they are “mas okay” as friends. “Kasi nag-start kami talaga as friends at nagtapos kami as friends so ngayon pag nagkikita kami sa taping masaya pa rin kami as magkaibigan,” he added.

Cristine’s quiet life was recently stirred by a controversy accusing her of allegedly dating a married man. As a friend, what can he say about this? “Kunyari man, if ever man, mahirap kasing magsalita ng tapos di ba pero hindi kasi natin maiiwasan minsan kapag tinamaan ka,  pag magmamahal ka magmamahal ka eh,” Rayver supplied.

Rayver together with Cristine, Gerald Anderson, Dawn Zulueta, Diana Zubiri, and Dina Bonnevie will headline the upcoming primetime teleserye Bukas Nalang Kita Mamahalin.
