Anne Curtis promises to make more covers for her fans.
After getting positive feedback to her David Guetta cover, Anne Curtis said she plans to do even more songs. This was what “Birit Queen” Anne revealed to Push.com.ph during an interview at the ABS-CBN Trade Launch held at One Esplanade, Pasay on August 6 after receiving an overwhelmingly positive response for her “Without You” cover with no less than the Concert King, Martin Nievera himself.
The video published only three days ago on the YouTube channel of musical director Marvin Querido, SessionsOnQ, has already had over 470,000 views on the video sharing site as of this writing.
While she agreed to do a video for Marvin for quite a while now, the It’s Showtime host confessed she was shocked to learn that she would be collaborating with the seasoned concert performer, with whom she has never worked with before. “Sobra akong na-tension. Pero I was so excited kasi talaga pumayag siya,” she excitedly shared.
Although Anne has been an inspiration for many singer-wannabes to pursue their dreams, she confessed that embarking on this collaboration initially felt a bit risky for her. “Alam mo hindi ko alam kung ano sasabihin nila. Alam ko some people might disagree with it but what actually happened was alam mo yung iba yung naging reaction nila na sobra akong na-overwhelm at nagpapasalamat kasi parang andami niyang hits agad,” Anne happily said.
After the video was published online, everything went by in a blur for her. “Parang yung timeline ko [napuno ng tungkol don]. At trumending pa ako. Yung rendition na yun parang [nag-confirm na] ‘uy singer na!’ parang ganon,” the Fil-Australian actress-host joked.
Anne underscored that she did give her all and best for that cover. “Talagang serious because nga ang kasama ko isang serious singer. Pero at the same time he’s also like me, goofy, he’s game, he’s playful and that’s why I think the video came out nice,” she described.
Who does she have in mind to be collaborating with for her next video? “Basta surprise, abangan niyo na lang. I’ll be having a big announcement soon,” the 28-year-old actress said with a huge grin.
