Kim Chiu said that she and her family have already come to terms with the passing of their mother Louella Yap Chiu. During the recent press conference of her month-long Wansapanataym
special, Kim shared that they have already finished commemorating the 40th day of her passing. “Ayun nagkitakita kami ng mga
relatives ng mama ko, mga
relatives ng papa ko. Yun nagkonting salo salo
,” Kim shared.
According to Kim the emotions were less intense among them during the said gathering. “Medyo natanggap na po ng lahat. Siyempre hindi naman sobrang tanggap na tanggap, but it’s different na than the first one,” the Wansapanataym Presents My Fairy Kasambahay star added.
Last June 23, Mrs. Chiu, 50, succumbed to brain aneurysm in a private hospital in Cebu City. According to reports, Kim and her family were beside their mother during her last few days.
Kim said she is confident that her mother is watching all of them from heaven. “Ngayon hindi po [siya nagpaparamdam]. Siguro alam niya pong takot ako. Hindi po sa aming magkakapatid eh,” said the 23-year-old actress while adding, “Alam kong andiyan lang siya. Sa mga nangyayari sa akin ngayon, feeling ko siya ang nagaga-guide sa akin.”
Asked if there’s one thing that her mother, whom she called her “guardian angel,” had something to be proud of, she said it would have to be the success that she and her family have at the moment. “Siguro sa lahat ng nangyayari sa amin ngayon, achievements at kung nasan kami ngayon,” said the first winner of Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition.
Aside from her top-rating soaps in the past, the Teleserye Princess had recently starred in the box office hit Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush mo opposite Xian Lim.
Watch out for the primetime princess as she pays tribute to house helpers starting on September 7 on Wansapanataym Presents My Fairy Kasambahay after Kapamilya: Deal of No Deal.
