Mutya won the <i>Miss Supranational-Philippines 2013</i> title as well as the <i>Miss Photogenic</i> and <i>Best in Long Gown</i> awards. The beautiful lass from Sta. Maria, Isabela will represent the Philippines in the <i>Miss Supranational 2013</i> pageant in Belarus in September.</div><div><br/></div><div>Mutya said she’s excited about the upcoming international pageant and that she’s aiming to equal or even do better than the third runner-up finish of Elaine Kay Moll last year.</div><div><br/></div><div>She told <i>Ikaw Na </i>host Boy Abunda that<i> Binibining Pilipinas</i> changed her life significantly because she was able to help her family more and she was able to realize her dream of becoming a beauty queen—in her words—“beauty queen <i>na may</i> crown.”</div><div><br/></div><div>She revealed that her mother was the first person who gave her the encouragement to try out for beauty pageants. “<i>Yung</i> mother <i>ko</i>, <i>kasi hindi naman ako ganun kaayos manamit</i> or<i> kasi pati pagsusuklay ng buhok hindi ko nagagawa pero nakikita talaga ng nanay ko na balang araw magiging</i> beauty queen <i>ka.</i>”</div><div><br/></div><div>To Mutya, <i>Miss Supranational</i> “means super, <i>Miss Universe</i> kumbaga bigger pa dun yung supranational. It’s a pageant promoting tourism, na we empower women.”</div><div><br/></div><div>Mutya also talked about her “<i>salagubang walk.</i>” “<i>Kasi pag naglalakad</i> <i>ako</i> feeling <i>ko parang may pakpak ako, yun yung</i> feeling <i>ko e ‘pag naglalakad, na basta lumakad ka lang, i-</i>enjoy<i> mo lang lahat, kasi ganun yung salagubang eh</i>.”</div><div><br/></div><div>Mutya also revealed that Venus Raj is her idol. “<i>Kasi probinsiya rin siya, matapang, sa kanya ko nakita yung ay puwede rin pala maging</i> successful <i>ang isang probinsiyana.”</i></div><div><br/></div><div>As to the question <i>“paano magmahal si</i> Mutya,” she answered, “<i>Laging puso ang ginagamit kasi kahit sabihin man nila na manhid to, ito ang nagdidikta ng totoo</i>.”</div><div><br/></div>
