In a report by Rappler.com two weeks ago based on Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) documents, Bryan Revilla, son of Senator Bong Revilla, one of the lawmakers linked to the alleged pork barrel syndicate run by Janet, co-owns a business with the businesswoman’s son, James Christopher Napoles and her nephew Ronald Lim Jr.
The SEC records showed that their other business partners in the PB & J Corp, which was incorporated on January 1, 2011, were Fernando Martin "Borgy" Marcos Manotoc, son of Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos, and Raymond.
Raymond has kept mum about the issue until Instagram user RuthDM (@ugat1006) asked about it on the photo he posted about the Million People March.
She asked, “U know what I read an article about you having business connections with one of the sons of Napoles, together with [Bryan] Revilla and Borgy Manotoc? It was posted by someone at FB. Is this true? I think you have to clear this issue. If its true or not? Its for your own good.”
According to the new Kapatid star, he has “no affiliations with them at this time.”
Richard Gutierrez’s twin brother also added, “We met only twice through mutual friends but that planned business never materialized.”
He likewise shared that he’s already discussing with his lawyer as to the proper action to be taken about the published article.
Last Monday, August 26, Raymond, along with his celebrity friends, Isabelle Daza, Georgina Wilson and Martine Cajucom, dressed in white and joined the anti-pork barrel protest dubbed as Million People March at Luneta Grandstand.
However, according to reports, the group’s efforts were marred when they were allegedly booed and heckled when they got to the venue. Something which Raymond belied on his Twitter account.
“@imsogayle untrue. People were kind to my friends and I,” he responded to Twitter user Gayle Sagum.
He even described the vibe in Rizal Park as “calm & people are pleasant.”
As if to explain why he participated into the massive protest, he wrote, “It’s important for young people to care & make sure the next gen doesn't suffer the same consequences.”
In the end, the TV host lauded the essence of the Million People March and the Filipinos’ ability to come together to support change.
