Kathryn Bernardo says she trusts management's decision about their show 'Got to Believe.'
As the new teen romance series Got to Believe
starts airing this coming August 26, Monday on Primetime Bida, Kathryn Bernardo said she is thankful to their fans for being patient while waiting for KatNiel's much-talked about return to the small screen after their hit series Princess and I. “Konting
wait na lang kasi
I’m sure malapit na i
-air. I’m sure naman maiintindihan nila yun. Gusto ko pa rin mag
thank you sa kanila sa
endless support nila
from Princess and I tapos naghihintay sila ngayon
so sana pag pinalabas na yung Got To Believe tuloy tuloy pa rin yung suporta nila
,” she said.
The 17-year-old teen star tried to explain why there was a delay from the original airing date of G2B. “Wala naman talagang sinabi sa aming reason muna pero for me I think binigyan lang kami ng longer time para mapaganda yung project and magka-bangko kami ng episodes kasi medyo hindi pa marami yung na-te-taping namin. Actually hindi ko alam kung bakit biglang sabi nila mas gusto ata nila bigyan kami longer time mag-taping para hindi kami mag-hand-to-mouth ata at wala pa kasing time slot na available for the teleserye ngayon kasi puno pa… Management decision naman yun so i-respect mo naman yun,” she shared.
Kath said she really likes playing the role of free-spirited girl Chichay Tampipi. “Si Mikay dun sa Princess and I parang more on very young siya, ganyan. Dito kasi hindi naman super mas mature pero one step na mas mature. Kung paano siya sa family niya, kung paano siya as a person, kung ano yung mga sacrifices niya para sa family niya, ganyan siya. Parang more on romance yung Got To Believe,” she explained.
The talented actress said because they have had more time to prepare for the show, viewers will be impressed by the effort put in by the cast and crew of G2B. “Basta ang ma-pa-promise naman ngayon na mas ginagandahan talaga namin. Actually yung atake ng Got to Believe para siyang movie na. As in with direk Cathy (Garcia-Molina) yung maraming shots sa isang sequence, yung story very unique and it’s something new talaga. Ito yung super na-e-excite ka every taping kasi na-e-enjoy mo yung character mo,” she admitted.
Apart from the show, Kath’s schedule is also busy with shooting the Star Cinema Metro Manila Film Fest entry Pagpag and taking classes as a college freshman in Enderun Colleges. She said she does not mind working so much at an early stage in her life. “Iniisip ko na lang everything naman comes with a sacrifice di ba? Feeling ko sa lahat ng blessings ngayon, yun yung kailangan ko i-give up and feeling ko naman kung yung social life lang yung hinahanap ko, andito rin naman yun sa trabaho ko. Hindi ko na kailangan hanapin. Hindi rin naman ako ma-gimik and everything,” she shared.
As part of Got To Believe's pilot airing week, KathNiel fans who registered online will join the show's stars in the G2B Army Color Fun Run on August 25, Sunday, 5 am at the Aseana Business Park in Paranaque City.
