John Lloyd Cruz on his surprise birthday bash: 'It was a magical moment for me'

Angelica reposted an Instagram photo of the two sharing a romantic kiss during the party for John Lloyd, which went viral on the Internet two weeks ago. When asked to describe that magical moment, John Lloyd said that he really appreciated his girlfriend's efforts to make him feel special on his birthday. '‘<i>Yong </i>photos from Instagram, that’s how much I can share. <i>Kung ano ‘yong mga nakita n’yo</i> that’s it... I'll tell you what, that night was truly magical <i>talaga</i>. <i>Parang at </i>30, <i>parang nakuha ko lahat ng</i> wishes <i>ko that day</i>. <i>Nakuha ko ‘yong</i> inflatables ko, <i>nakuha ko ‘yong </i>Velcro wall<i> ko</i>, <i>nakuha ko ‘yong</i> air hockey table ko,' said the <i>Jack 'N Jill Magic Flakes</i> ambassador in an interview with <a href='http://Push.com.ph'>Push.com.ph</a> and other selected media reporters.</div><div><br/></div><div>John Lloyd admitted that he was overwhelmed with happiness since all of his loved ones were there to celebrate with him. ‘T<i>apos nandoon lahat ng </i>closest friends, my family, my newfound friends <i>nandoon.</i> So, <i>talagang napaka</i>-special <i>noong gabing ‘yon</i>. <i>Wala na akong inasikaso</i>,<i> lahat trinabaho na ni</i> Angelica. So, <i>kung lalaki ka, napakalaking bagay na no’n</i>. I mean any guy would understand <i>kung ano ang sinasabi ko.</i> It was a magical moment for me, for myself on my very special day together with all the closest [people] in my life.'</div><div><br/></div><div>But truth be told, John Lloyd is also a very thoughtful boyfriend. Every now and then, Angelica would post her <i>baon</i> on the set of Apoy Sa Dagat which came from John Lloyd. It could be as simple as <i>pandesal </i>or Pinoy rice meals just like the one she posted recently. '<i>Marami akong pinipili </i>for her. It's something I enjoy. More than being a quality that I want people to know of, it's something I enjoy doing. It gives me pleasure. <i>Halimbawa, wala siyang</i> chance <i>kumain</i>, to actually sit down and eat, <i>baonin mo na lang. Siguro dahil yung parents ko, nung ginagawa ako gusto babae</i>, <i>eh ako yung lumabas, kaya lahat ng ginagawa ng babae from</i> nail spa, grocery, shopping, <i>kaya kitang i-</i>outshop. <i>Magsasawa ka</i>.'</div><div><br/></div><div>Another thing that John Lloyd was happy about was his trip to Bangkok with Angelica and some of his relatives. Angelica's teleserye <i>Apoy Sa Dagat </i>just ended last July 5 so they finally had the chance to spend some quality time together before they start working on a new project. As its is, John Lloyd doesn't ask for much these days. '<i>Nako, hindi na. Alam mo,</i> for the past so many years, I’ve been so blessed and finding a way to reward myself, I don’t know, <i>parang abuso na</i>. <i>Medyo abuso na ako doon</i>. <i>Magkaroon lang ako ng konting time</i>… Like ngayon, <i>magkakaroon ako ng</i> time to go to Bangkok with my cousins, my brother, and with Angelica. That's a good reward that I consider.”</div><div><br/></div><div>He added that he feels more blessed knowing that his fans remain supportive of him through the years. Proof of which is the record-breaking sales of his third box office movie with Sarah Geronimo. '<i>Pero</i> to actually ask for something<i> para sa</i> birthday <i>ko</i>, <i>siguro hindi na</i>. Every birthday <i>naman</i> is always a good time to give back especially <i>sa mga nagmamahal sa’yo at sumusuporta sa’yo</i>, to the fans especially. I know it sounds cliché <i>pero kung wala namang</i> fans <i>na sumusuporta sa ’yo,</i> <i>di ba, saan ka pupulutin.</i>'</div><div><br/></div><div>Now that he has turned 30, John Lloyd further shared that he started to set some goals particularly about being more physically fit. 'Yeah, 30 is a milestone. Yes, I actually did [set some goals] since I'm not getting any younger. Right now, I'm starting to focus on engaging myself in as many sports as possible like badminton, I'm starting to run, <i>and nand'yan pa rin naman yung nagba-</i>bike <i>pa rin ako</i>. That's my goal because <i>para ma-</i>enjoy <i>ko rin buhay ko</i>, meaning<i> kailangan ko ma-</i>enjoy<i> lahat ng gusto ko kainin</i> (laughs). I have to do my part.' </div><div><br/></div><div>As of press time, John Lloyd and Angelica are still in Bangkok together with John Lloyd’s family. The actress actually posted a picture of their romantic date at the rooftop of a hotel overlooking the city. </div><div><br/></div>
