Yeng Constantino admits she has learned a lot of things from Bamboo

072313-yeng_main.jpgBusy with rehearsals for her upcoming major concert with The Voice of the Philippines judge Bamboo, Yeng Constantino admitted she has learned a lot from one of her music idols. Ano ba yun, nakakaloka, sobrang galing niya (laughs). At saka gusto ko talaga pag kanta niya, ino-own niya talaga yung song. Talagang version ni Bamboo yun. Hindi ka ma-ko-confuse na sinong nag-cover niyan? Alam mo na siya,” she shared.

Yeng said that she is very excited to share the stage with Bamboo in such a major venue, the idea for which came up after they successfully did a duet together on ASAP.

The talented singer admitted she had to get over her nervousness when they first started rehearsals for the concert. I’m so so happy na yung kinalabasan nung song sobrang ganda. Pero never did I imagine na magiging ganito, na magkakatotoo talaga siya because of one excellent prod. It’s up to you to make it big. Excited ako,” she added.

After performing in venues like Music Museum and Aliw theater, the 24-year-old songwriter also admitted that there is more pressure in performing at The Big Dome next month. “Siguro may part ng heart ko nana-pe-pressure pero I just want to leave it sa management and promotion team. We’re hoping na mapuno namin,” she said.

A unique element of their concert BY Request on August 17 is that Yeng and Bamboo will be performing songs chosen by their online social media followers. Parang sobrang mahihirapan ata tayo dun. We also chose not to guest anyone kasi parang mas better na solid yung konsepto na collaboration talaga namin siya so people will be confused kung maglalagay pa kami ng iba. Sobrang exciting nun kasi ma-se-stretch yung kaya naming dalawa so solid yun eh,” she explained.
