After being declared the grand winner in Pilipinas Got Talent season 3 in 2011, the Maasinhon Trio, composed of Andrew Sanchez, Licinius Lolo, and Bonifacio Salubre, are back with their self-titled debut album under Star Records. The performers who all hail from Southern Leyte admitted it was a dream come true when they found out they were being invited back to Manila to record the album, which is composed of classic Pinoy love songs like “Kahit Isang Saglit,” “Sana'y Ikaw Na Nga,” “Hanggang,” a Rey Valera medley, and their carrier single “Patuloy Ang Pangarap.”
Singer Bonifacio Salubre said making the album was an unforgettable experience. Sabi niya siguro mahirapan kami masundan,” he admitted.
Salubre also said their singing was also challenged during recording.
Maasinhon Trio member Licinius Lolo agreed they worked hard on the album, “Hindi madali yung pag-record kasi tatlo kami eh. Mahirap gumawa ng blending. At that time, nahirapan talaga kami.”
With musical influences like Nonoy Zuniga, Martin Nievera, The Company, and APO Hiking Society, the Maasinhon Trio said they hope their fans will appreciate the effort they put into this project. For the trio, the most special song in the album is their carrier single because the message is personal to them. So i-pu-prove namin na it's never too late to dream,” Andrew Sanchez shared.
Licinius Lolo said that after performing 20 years together in the service of their hometown and the church, they are finally making their dream come true. “Madami nga nagtatanong sa amin bakit wala pa daw kami album, sabi namin, 'Maghintay lang tayo. God's time is the best time.' Ito na ang blessing na binigay ni Lord para sa amin,” he said.
The Maasinhon Trio also plan to come out with a Visayan album in the future.
