Kean Cipriano says that he is fully committed to Callalily, but he's thankful to be given the opportunity to act.
Kean Cipriano might be doing numerous acting stints nowadays, but he said that his number one priority will always be his band Callalily. “Full time ako sa
Callalily.
,” he said.
He’s thankful though to be given the chance to act. “I am a musician at sobrang swerte ko na nabigyan ako ng opportunity na makapasok sa world of acting. Acting is a different kind of performance art. Nai-enjoy ko siya kahit ibang mundo siya from music, pero somehow nasa isang circle lang siya ng entertainment world.”
He added, “I am very blessed to have a very good management [company], sila ‘yung nagha-handle ng schedule ko at ng lahat ng transaction ng projects. Dahil alam nila na kasi at the end of the day, it’s always going to be Kean Cipriano of Callalily.”
Despite his full commitment to music, Kean is part of the Kim Chiu and Xian Lim movie titled Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo showing this July 31. The Callalily lead vocalist said that it was always his dream to work with director Joyce Bernal. He said he considers the director not only his mentor, but also his close friend in the industry. Kung may problema ako I trust her.”
On what will the viewers learn from watching the movie which is an adaptation of Ramon Bautista’s book of the same title, he relayed, “Yung sa libro naman ni Monra (Ramon Bautista), feeling ko naman sinabi niya sa libro na hindi naman lagi dapat crush ka ng crush mo. It’s more of how you deal with it.”
