Jodi Sta. Maria says she and Cavite Vice-Governor Jolo Revilla are comfortable being seen together in public; adds that she's very proud of his accomplishments.
It seems that Jodi Sta. Maria is becoming more open about her relationship with actor-turned-politician Jolo Revilla. The two were seen together at Jolo’s recent oath-taking as Vice-Governor of Cavite, with Jodi looking like every bit the proud and supportive girlfriend. In turn, Jolo attended the store opening of Jodi’s latest business venture, the Happy Barn Milkshake Factory, at Rustan’s Fresh Supermarket in Daanghari, Las Pinas City last Sunday afternoon, July 14.
Most of the entertainment media had already left the event when Jolo arrived together with his son Gab. Asked how she feels that Jolo is equally supportive of her endeavors, the 31-year-old actress admitted that they enjoy being there for each other. “Siyempre nakakatuwa naman na we support each other sa mga ginagawa namin at dun sa mga bagay na importante at nagma-matter sa amin.”
Although it’s an open secret that Jodi and Jolo have been dating for quite some time now, they opted to keep a low profile when it comes to their romance. This was why many were still surprised when Jodi attended Jolo’s oath-taking, which was their first media appearance together. “Yung oath-taking kasi it is something na very important to him. I just wanted to share that moment with him after all the hardships na pinagdaanan niya nung campaign, parang finally, nag-take na siya ng oath taking.”
Jodi added that she’s really proud of Jolo’s achievements as a public servant at the age of 24 years old. “Of course, I’m very proud of him. At a very young age he already achieved so much na hindi naman lahat ng mga tao na ka-age niya nagagawa. It’s nice that he’s really focused and goal-driven.”
However, Jodi still refused to confirm the real score between them, stating that their actions already speak for themselves. “Totoo naman yung sinabi niya (Jolo). Wala naman kaming tinago, wala naman kaming dine-deny, wala rin kaming inaamin. Basta yun na lang yun. What you see is what you get.”
She further said that she has no problem being seen with Jolo in public. “Oo naman. Wala naman problem. Nakakalabas naman kami kung saan namin gusto pumunta. We’re okay. We’re comfortable.”
Jodi didn’t elaborate but she agreed that she’s really happy that Jolo’s parents Senator Bong Revilla and Congresswoman Lani Mercado approve of her. “Siyempre nakakatuwa naman yun na malaman.”
