Maja Salvador says her new soap with Angel Locsin and Jericho Rosales is a big step in her career

The two already met along with co-star Jericho Rosales during the story conference and look test for the show. “<i>Kakatapos ko lang nag</i>-shoot <i>ng Tatay</i> (movie) with Senator Jinggoy Estrada.<i> Tapos meron ako ulit </i>soap, <i>pwede naman siguro sabihin, makakasama ko rito </i>for the first time <i>sina </i>Angel <i>at</i> Jericho. I am very excited <i>kasi panibagong</i> step<i> at panibagong</i> challenge <i>yun sa</i> career <i>ko</i>. The story is all about love.<i> Parang, hanggang kailan mo kakayanin ang lahat para sa pag-ibig</i>,” she said in an interview with <a href='Push.com.ph'>Push.com.ph</a> during her pictorial for <i>Maja unveils @ 10</i> held at Xander Angeles studio: Edge of Light Studios last Friday, July 12.</div><div><br/></div><div>Maja further shared that she’s looking forward to start taping with Angel who has established herself as one of the notable dramatic actresses in the country to date. The fact that she instantly felt at ease with Angel further added to her excitement about their project. “<i>Kapag nakikita ko siya parang walang siyang ibang ginawa kundi ngumiti. Parang</i> Angel <i>talaga. Ang gaganda din ng </i>projects <i>na ginagawa niya. </i>Excited <i>ako na makatrabaho siya.</i> Happy <i>din daw siya na magkasama kami sa isang teleserye</i>.”</div><div><br/></div><div>With Jericho as their leading man, Maja said she feels that she’s really taking a big step in her showbiz career. As it is, she has always been a fan of his previous works. “Never <i>ko na-</i>imagine<i> pero</i> excited <i>din ako. Kasi dati pinapanood ko siya sa Pangako Sa ’yo. Pero naman, parang walang pinagbago yung galing niya sa pagarte. Masasabi ko na</i> being part of this <i>teleserye</i> is a big step and big challenge for my career.”</div><div><br/></div><div>After 10 years in the biz, Maja shared that she really feels grateful that she gets to improve her versatility by trying out different roles— a teacher who gets involved with her student in <i>Nagsimula Sa Puso</i>, a rebel who’s in love with her best friend in <i>Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin</i>, and an insecure twin sister in <i>Ina, Kapatid, Anak</i> to name a few. “Never <i>pa kasi ako nakagawa ng </i>project <i>na halos parehas.</i> Yearly, <i>palaki ng palaki. Laging bago. Ganon lagi sa akin. </i>Feeling <i>ko mas okay yun kasi kapag naging kampante ka sa isang bagay, baka maapekuhan yung trabaho. Kaya ako okay ako na laging may kaba, takot na baka hindi swak sa akin yung isang </i>character or <i>kung magagawa ko ba ng tama yung</i> role <i>ko</i>.”</div><div><br/></div><div>Asked about the secret of her longevity in the biz, she simply replied, “<i>Siguro</i> fans <i>at pagmamahal sa trabaho.
