Although she still chooses to keep a low profile when it comes to her love life, Jodi Sta. Maria admitted it is not hard for her to balance time between her personal and professional life. Kumportable naman ako sa sitwasyon,” she shared during the Purefoods Fun Stuff Nuggets presscon held last May 28 in Quezon City.
The Be Careful With My Heart star is currently dating actor and newly-elected vice-governor of Cavite Jolo Revilla, but has never made any formal announcements about their relationship. Despite their busy work schedules, Jodi said there have been no issues about finding time for each other. “Nagkakaintindihan naman kami and we support each other pagdating sa kanya-kanyang career namin so wala namang magiging problema. Meron naman akong sariling trabaho and I’m very busy with the show so mahirap,” she admitted.
During her recent Be Careful With My Heart world tour which took the cast to the US, UAE, and Canada, Jolo made a much talked about tweet which got tongues wagging. Jodi wanted to clarify that it was not a marriage proposal nor a sign they were having trouble in their relationship. Once in a while naman while I was on tour nag-te-text naman kami eh. Nagkita na rin kami after the tour,” she shared.
Jodi also denied she and Jolo had already planned to get married after the elections. “Hindi. Walang ganun. Alam niyo naman na when it comes to these things I’m really uncomfortable talking about it kasi I want to leave that part of my life private kasi kumbaga kaming mga artista exposed na nga kami sa lahat so I hope you guys understand,” she said.
The pretty Kapamilya actress said she does not mind if Jolo has been very vocal about his feelings for her. If he wants to express his love, wala naman akong magagawa dun. If he’s expressive, I can't do anything about it,” she explained.
Jodi said they have yet to celebrate his recent win at the polls. “Hindi pa kami nagkakaroon ng time para mag-celebrate kasi siyempre pagkabalik ko nagtrabaho na din kaagad ako and siya naman may mag bagay siyang kailangan asikasuhin,” said the new Purefoods Nuggets endorser.
Now that Iwa Moto has admitted she is expecting a baby with Jodi’s ex Pampy Lacson, Jodi said their son Thirdy is prepared to become a big brother. “Of course he is aware naman na eventually magiging kuya na siya. Ayun okay naman sa kanya,” she revealed. Jodi said she is not ready to give Thirdy a sibling anytime soon. “Well before sabi niya gusto niya ng baby brother tapos sabi ko hindi pa time and then sabi nila bibili na lang siya sa supermarket (laughs). Akala niya nabibili. Siguro iniisip niya same sila ng interest, mga superheroes ganyan,” she said. When does she think is the right time to have a baby again? “I think importante pag lahat ready,” Jodi stated.
