Charice admits that she has a crush on Sarah Geronimo

<div><img src='' alt='060613-charice_main.jpg' width='305' height='290' align='left' border='0'>Charice was grateful for the overwhelming support that she received from colleagues following her confirmation concerning her gender preference. </div><div><br/></div><div>Broadway star Lea Salonga gave the young international singer a boost of confidence in her tweet, saying that she has inspired a lot of young people with her courage to stand up for herself. Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo also defended Charice from bashers as previously reported here on Push. </div><div><br/></div><div>To which Charice stated, “Idol<i> ko talaga yun</i> (Sarah). <i>Isa nga yung hinihintay ko na magsalita</i> about this and she did. Ms. Lea Salonga, <i>yung iba ko pang mga kaibigan, lahat</i>… Paris Hilton, Ryan Seacrest, <i>maraming salamat po</i>,” said Charice who’s nominated as Female Performer of The Year in the upcoming Yahoo OMG Awards 2013. </div><div><br/></div><div>She could only hope that her critics would eventually learn to be happy with her decisions in life. “<i>Sana kung ano nafi</i>-feel <i>ko ngayon na</i> happiness <i>at</i> fulfillment, <i>sana ganon din ma</i>-feel <i>ng ibang tao na gusto ko</i>, like<i> yung </i>family <i>ko at ibang tao</i>.” </div><div><br/></div><div>On a lighter note, Charice revealed that Sarah happens to be her biggest local celebrity crush. Hence, she was really happy when the singer-actress expressed support towards her. “<i>Si Ate</i> Sarah <i>po</i>, <i>kasi siyempre </i>she’s pretty. Bonus <i>na yun</i>. We all know that. <i>Pero napakabait niya</i> and I know <i>dinefend niya ako</i>.” </div><div><br/></div><div>As it is, she and her girlfriend Alyssa Quijano each has their own showbiz crush. “<i>Siyempre naman ‘di naman mawawala yun. Meron siya meron din ako</i>,” Charice cheerfully exclaimed. But before other people jump into conclusions, Charice’s admiration for Sarah is no big deal as she even calls her “ate” (or elder sister). “<i>Ate</i> Sarah<i> talaga</i> [<i>ang tawag ko</i>], <i>eh mas matanda siya sa akin</i>.” </div>

Charice thanks the Popstar Princess for defending her from her detractors.
