Enchong Dee lands his dream role in 'Muling Buksan Ang Puso'

When asked if this is going to be reminiscent of Coco Martin’s role in <i>Tayong Dalawa </i>and Paolo Avelino’s in <i>Walang Hanggan</i>, he remarked, “I think ‘<i>yun ‘yung </i>challenge don is to differentiate ‘<i>yung</i> character<i> na gagawin ko</i> from the great performances of Coco Martin and Paolo Avelino. It’s a great challenge <i>kasi nalagpasan nila ‘yun</i>, they can be <i>bida,</i> they can be<i> kontrabida.</i>” The actor admitted that he’s still testing the waters when it comes to his new role. “<i>Sa ngayon nasa</i> discovering stage <i>pa lang ako.</i>”</div><div><br/></div><div>On the issue of favoritism, knowing that he just starred in a major<i> teleserye</i> and now he’s top-billing another soap, Enchong responded, “<i>Siguro kung</i> favoritism <i>bakit ngayon lang? Ang tagal ko na sa </i>ABS. <i>Siguro nakita lang nila na handa akong magtrabaho</i> 24/7. <i>Wala sa akin kung hindi ako makakatulog, hindi ako magrereklamo. Siguro ‘yun ‘yung mga bagay na nakikita nila.</i>”</div><div><br/></div><div>Is he open to the possibility that he might be typecast in gray characters in the future after this project? “If I can sustain my self as an actor with that kind of role I don’t mind because I know I can perform <i>tsaka</i> again<i> sa</i> ABS-CBN, <i>hindi naman porket kontrabida ‘yung ginagawa nila kontrabida na lahat. </i>They give you experimental characters, <i>binibigyan ka nila ng pagkakataon </i>to improve yourself,” he said.</div><div><br/></div><div>Enchong considers this year as the most fruitful one. But he is quick to comment that just like everybody else in showbiz he had his moments when he needed to wait for a while. ”<i>Pana-panahon lang,</i> I mean<i> dumating din naman ako sa punto na nagtatanong kung ano ang susunod na gagawin, nag-aantay. Pag kasi dumating sa’yo, huwag mong pakakawalan, huwag kang maarte, huwag magcomplain,</i>” he said.</div>
