Apart from celebrating the anniversary of her daily morning show Kris TV, Kris Aquino admitted she is very excited by all the new changes in her life starting next month. “I'm talking July off because we're moving to a new home. So yun ng aasikasuhin ko. I just came back from a trip to Baguio, La Union, and Pangasinan. Regalo ko naman to habang bakasyon si Bimb at pinayagan ko si Josh na mag-three weeks off habang bakasyon yung kapatid niya na super bonding kami at ma-oranize namin ng maayos yung bagong bahay. Bahay talaga siya sa south. Magandang village, malapit sa school ni Bimby and maraming mga ibang artista na dun nakatira so alam kong very secure and it just felt right. Hinintay ako nung owner kasi ang tagal ng negotiations and then finally natuloy,” she shared during a presscon with the Singapore Tourism Board held last June 18 at the Holiday Inn.
During the event, Kris laid to rest the issue that she was planning to leave her morning talk show for good this year. Right now, she is more concentrated on decorating her new house. “Nag-usap naman kami ng mga boss ko and pinayagan naman nila ako to have my leave of absence and tamang-tama with my new home, bubusisiin ko talaga yung kitchen. Actually it’s ready for us to move in, it's just that lalamanan na lang so excited ako,” she said.
After consulting a feng shui expert, Kris said she and her two sons Josh and Bimby will be ready to move in by the middle of next month. “Siyempre pina-feng shui ko so sa July 16 daw at six in the morning tapos may mga dayap dayap pa, may incense, may dayap, may kung anu-anong fruit na kailangan ipasok. Wala namang masama, gawin na lang. Tapos may mga with the compass kung saan mo ilalagay yung dayap, sabi ko, 'Why dayap? It's maasim.' Ewan ko, basta sinabi go! Dun ako sobrang na-e-excite kasi may home na kami, talagang totoong home,” she added.
When it comes to the Catholic blessing of the house, Kris said she plans to keep the event as private as possible. ”Ayoko magblessing na public. I'll just ask the priest to come on the 16th, so bago naman gumawa ng ritual ritual, pa-bless ko muna. Meron naman akong super close na priest na kahit puyatin ko siya gagawin niya kaya okay na yun,” she admitted.
The Queen of All Media said that unlike her Makati condo where she is currently residing, their new home will have private areas. “Regalo ko na rin sa amin yung house namin para sa amin lang and yung ipapakita ko lang sa inyo is yung dining room at yung kitchen kasi dun ko balak mag-cooking portion. Kasi at least yung kitchen na-specify gusto ko and actually yung kitchen area sa house meron na kaming ready na ilalagay na ilaw. May diva lights para madali na magluto (laughs). Excited ako,” she said.
Starting June 24, Kris TV will start airing episodes of Kris’s vacation in Singapore with her family, but the host-actress said there are a lot of other trips that the show will feature as well in line with the show’s anniversary. “We went to Malaysia, Singapore and then Baguio, La Union na nag-surfing si Bimb with Luke Landrigan the champion surfer. Tapos yung pag ikot sa Hundred Islands at Manaoag with Kim Chiu,” Kris shared.
The hands-on mother of two admitted that Kim got along very well with her sons, especially Bimby. “Parang she feels very comfortable opening up her heart to me so very grateful naman ako sa kanya for that. Masaya lang kami. Ang cute ni Bimb, tinatanong siya, ‘Tita Kim, what are your greatest fears?’ Sabi talaga ni Kim, ‘Bimb, are you sure you’re six years old? Hindi ka ba 26?’ (laughs). Tapos nag-Zambales kami at Bulacan kasi nakita ko talaga lalong lalo na for our TFC audience, even those na taga-dito, sobrang na-a-appreciate nila ang Philippines pag-na-ha-highlight mo ng ganun. So patuloy kong gagawin yun,” she said.
