Kris Aquino admits she does not mind becoming a stage mother when it comes to her sons.
After recently touring various vacation spots in the Philippines with her family for her morning show, Kris Aquino admitted that she is excited about her younger son Bimby’s first movie project with Vic Sotto and Ryzza Mae Dizon. “Si
Bimby ang bida, nandun ako pero hindi ako yung bida.
The working title is Torky and my little Bossing and ang tatlong bida
there is Vic Sotto, Ryzza Mae and Bimby. Torky is Victor so si
little Bossing is
Bimb so kinikilig kilig ang nanay
(laughs). Parang Pido Dida
2013. Di ba
cute?
” she shared.
Kris said she made sure Bimby really wanted to do the project before she accepted the offer. “Before I made the decision I asked Bimb if he wanted to do it, tapos sinabi niya, 'Am I the star?' and sabi ko, ‘Oo.’ So sabi niya, 'Okay mama' (laughs). And kasi bida anak ko, he'll only be six now. A year from now this might not be cute anymore so this is a once in a lifetime opportunity na mag-team up silang dalawa. Gusto niya talaga kasi ang dami na ngang sinu-suggest. Sabi niya, 'Mama, I want our movie to be action,' sabi ko, ‘What kind of action? Sabi niya, ‘like yung I'm fighting and I'm flying.' Sabi ko, ‘That's very expensive.’ Every time may pinapanuod nagsu-suggest siya if he can do that in his movie, yung ganun. So at least pati siya na-excite,” she shared during her presscon for the Singapore Tourism Board held last June 18 at Holiday Inn.
Kris admitted that apart from acting, she will also be a co-producer in the film. “Apat kaming nag-she-share, it's ATP, M-Zet, Oct Arts and KAP na Kris Aquino Productions. Actually nag-share na ako sa Sisterakas pero ito yung nakapangalan na at naka-register na lahat. Yes I’m also in the movie kasi obviously it has to start somewhere and there has to be something na nangyari sa akin kung bakit yung character ni Vic Sotto ang mag-aalaga sa anak ko. So yun ang kailangan niyong abangan kung ano ang pinagdaanan. It opens with something mysterious happening to me,” she shared.
She said her younger son already knows of child star Ryzza Mae who has her own daily show. The two kids have not met yet and Kris said they would only meet each other when shooting starts. “Kasi si Mr. Tuviera (one of the producers) nagsabi na huwag namin sila ipakilala muna until talagang mag-shu-shoot ng first day na dapat silang magkakilala, para talagang nagkakailangan sila, para natural. Because with kids di ba you have to be as natural as possible. Aware si Bimb kay Ryzza Mae kasi pinapanuod ko na lahat sa kanya. In-explain ko sa kanya tapos I brought it up with Vic, sabi ko yung anak ko slang slang ha, sabi niya, 'Perfect! Huwag mong turuan' kasi sabi ko dapat ba mag-lessons na kami para hindi naman nakakahiya? Sabi niya hindi kasi yung disparity ng dalawa will be what will be so cute. Sabi ni Bimb, 'She's funny mama' tapos tawa siya ng tawa. Tapos sabi niya, ‘ I don't want to dance that ha,’ sabi ko, 'You don’t have to dance that you're a boy,'” she said, referring to Ryzza Mae’s trademark cha-cha dance.
The talented host said she is thankful that Bimby will get to work under a director familiar to him in this project. She also specified what would be the working conditions she will agree to for her son. “I want to say thank you the very much to Mr.Tuviera kay Boss Orly at kay Bossing na pumayag sila for the first time na si direk Joyce Bernal ang hahawak. Kasi nakiusap ako, sinabi ko na Bimb was very comfortable with her, kilalang kilala nila ang isa't isa and sana mapagbigyan kami for this. Ang bait nila and ang daling ka-deal. I also told them shooting has on be on days where it won’t affect his schooling kasi grade one na siya. So pumayag sila na Friday-Saturday-Sunday, sabi ko please galangin natin yung rule ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) na 8 pm, but if you really want, we can adjust kasi unfortunately nga may Eat Buaga. So sabi ko na yung Saturday lang ang late call tapos puwedeng matapos ng 10 pm pero never beyond that,” she said.
A self-admitted stage mother-in-the-making, Kris said she does not plan to work on days when she wants to accompany Bimby on the set. “Ay, hindi ako magtratrabaho. Kaya kami advance ng advance ng Kris TV kasi sinabi ko na sa kanilang lahat na on the days that he's shooting nakatutok ang nanay (laughs). Sabi ko nga, mapapahiya si Mommy Divine (Sarah Geronimo’s mother known for being strict with her daughter) sa akin (laughs)! Sinabi ni direk Joyce sa akin na, 'Oy, magtrabaho ka, kukulitin mo ko! Ano tatabihan mo ako?' Sabi ko, 'Of course direk at kukulitin kita na direk, close-up na ng anak ko!'” she admitted.
Kris said Bimby’s older brother Josh is also very happy with his brother’s movie project. “Supportive and excited naman siya, kasi nag-shoot si kuya ng commercial two weeks ago so parang proud na proud ako. It's chronicling his 120-pound weight loss. So even my sisters said na okay lang na Bimb has a movie kasi at least Josh has a commercial that's his para patas lang lahat and excited naman siya. Actually more than him being excited, yung mga yayas ang sobrang excited talaga. Pati ako talaga. Yung nanay ang hindi ma-control ang excitement (Laughs),” she said.
