Not many people are aware that Toni Gonzaga is fond of cooking. “I think lahat naman siguro ng babae gustong matutong magluto. Not that I want to have a family already but because it’s something na hinahanap ko rin as a babae,” the TV actress-host remarked during the presscon of her first cooking show Kuwentong Buhay, Kuwentong Kusina to be aired on June 23 on ABS-CBN.
Toni might be one of the busiest stars in showbiz but she was able to squeeze a few cooking courses into her tight schedule. “I was given the chance to have a crash-course last year sa baking and cooking. But her cooking show is teaching her more about this craft. “Kaya nga natutuwa ako sa programang ito kasi as we go on ang dami kong natututunan. Like sa first episode talaga namin.
The actress shared that she likes watching shows about food. “I got fascinated by watching cooking shows kasi ginagaya ko rin kapag may binabaon ako at ginagawa ako on my own. At natutuwa ako how they come up with different kinds of dishes and may pang everyday na you can do sa bahay,” she conveyed.
When asked if there is a special dish she likes to cook for her beau, Paul Soriano, she commented, “Mahilig kasi ‘yun sa Mexican food, mga tacos, hindi naman niluluto ang tacos. Niluto ko for him mga soup pa lang, garlic pasta, yun pa lang naman.”
Toni further shared that her new show will bring, not only the knowledge of cooking special dishes, but also inspiration from the various stories it will present.
