Yeng Constantino on working with Bamboo: 'Natatameme pa rin ako minsan'

<div><img src='' alt='061413-yeng_main.jpg' width='305' height='290' align='left' border='0'>After getting positive reviews for their production number together on ASAP, Yeng Constantino admitted she is psyched about her upcoming major concert entitled By Request with The Voice of the Philippines judge Bamboo on August 17 at the Araneta Coliseum. “Nininerbiyos ako pero kasabay ng nerbiyos excited at saka masaya. I’m really honored na ma-pair sa kanya in a concert and gusto ko lang gawin yung best ko hindi lang para may ma-prove ako kundi para mapasaya rin yung mga tagahanga at taga-suporta namin,” she said.</div><div> </div><div>The 24-year-old singer said she has done collaborations with other artists before, but this is a whole different experience for her. “Siguro mga out-of-town shows or prod numbers lang pero hindi talaga yung whole show. Ito yung first concert na talagang collaboration tapos kasama ko pa yung isa sa mga hinahangaan ko. Sobrang exciting ito and hindi ko ito inexpect na mangyayari although last year pa pinag-uusapan na gagawa kami ng concert ni Bamboo pero hindi mo talaga alam kung paano mag-move si God eh. I think this is an answered prayer talaga,” she admitted.</div><div> </div><div>Yeng revealed that she has always been a big fan of Bamboo even before she joined showbiz. “Sobra. Hindi lang ako pati yung band namin sobra. Bawat bagong kanta gandang ganda kami. Ang astig talaga niya. Tapos naging endorser pa kami ng isang soft drink na brand. Magkasama kami dun so nakakasama ako minsan sa gig tapos nauuna ako mag-perform. Kahit tapos na ako tumugtog, mag-se-stay ako sa backstage just to watch him. Alam mo na alam niya yung ginagawa niya eh. alam mo na mahal niya yung ginagawa niya and he’s very passionate kung ano yung ginagawa niya and you just want to be like that,” she explained.</div><div> </div><div>The talented artist admitted she hopes to get the chance to know him better while preparing for their event. “Actually hindi pa kami friends (laughs). Gusto ko na maging super friends kami pero nahihiya pa rin ako kapag may meeting. Natatameme pa rin ako minsan. Actually ito yung pinakamasasabi ko na mas nag-loosen up kami both sa photo shoot. Mahaba pa naman ang time so mas makakasama ko pa siya,” she said.</div><div> </div><div>Yeng admitted she sometimes gets so intimidated by Bamboo that she has a tendency to call him “sir.” “Pinipigilan ko na nga eh. Like sa Twitter pina-practice ko na. Hindi naman siya nag-re-react. Wala namang age yung music eh. Wala naman siyang imik. Feeling ko naman dini-dedma na lang niya yung sinasabi ko (laughs). Pero okay lang sa kanya yun. nakakakaba lang. Mahaba haba pa naman yung buwan. Basta nag-mi-meeting kami tapos nagsasabiihan kami ng mga gusto namin, actually he’s very open. Sobrang bait niyang tao. Hindi siya yung nakikita ninyong rock star sa TV so far. Yung nakikita niyo sa stage, hindi yun yung fake na siya, part ng sarili niya yun eh pero there’s something na hindi natin pa nakikita, yung part ng heart niya na sobrang lambot na part and that’s really exciting to see,” she said.</div><div> </div><div>Catch Yeng Constantino and Bamboo’s concert By Request on August 17 at the Araneta Coliseum.
