052913-juliam_main.jpgAfter recently being named Princess of Philippine Television by the 44th Box-Office Entertainment Awards of Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation earlier this month, Julia Montes admitted she is still on a high from being recognized for her work in the hit series Walang Hanggan. “First of all I’m super happy kasi nga kakasimula ko pa lang talaga, for me ang dami ko pang kakainin sa show business pero na-recognize ako and that’s a big thing for me. Dream come true. Sabi ko nga nung nag-si-speech ako, ‘First time ko po ito. Kinakabahan ako.’ Basta very thankful ako kasi hindi ko naman iniisip na this year ko siya makukuha,” she said during the Chic Nails branch opening along Sct. Tuason, Quezon City last May 24.

The 18-year-old actress admitted she never expected to receive an award but is challenged to do even better in her next projects because of it. “Siyempre for me, hindi lang naman porke’t may award kaya ako ma-pe-pressure. Every time may pressure for me kasi siyempre ang purpose naman namin is matuwa yung tao sa show na ibibigay namin and mapasaya rin yung tao.

Julia is set to star in an upcoming Kapamilya series Muling Buksan Ang Puso with Enchong Dee and Enrique Gil. “Isa siyang love story. Nakaka-excite kasi marami kaming kasama dito gaya ni Miss Amalia Fuentes (who has resigned from the series as of press time), sila Miss Susan Roces at Cherie Gil kaya maraming dapat abangan,” she added.

Julia admitted that she feels comfortable working with her new leading men because they have worked together in other projects. “Bale naka-work ko na sila both sa movies pero as a love team sa teleserye, it’s the first time talaga. Si Enrique kasi tropa tropa talaga kami since Shout Out! days pa lang.

The mestiza beauty is confident that fans of her love team with Coco Martin will also enjoy watching her new pairing onscreen.

The talented actress said her new soap will show off a unique side of her.
