Julia Barretto remains optimistic about the Barretto family feud

<div><img src='' alt='052613-julia_main.jpg' align='left' border='0' height='290' width='305'>Julia Barretto refused to take sides in the family feud between the Barretto siblings (her aunt Gretchen and her mom Marjorie versus her aunt Claudine), which has yet to be resolved. Amongst the many issues that were brought up was Claudine’s alleged intent to ruin Julia’s career. But the 16-year-old stayed clear of the whole controversy that’s meant for her elders only.</div><div><br/></div><div>“Regarding that, <i>hindi pa sila nakakausap </i>about it<i> na parang,</i> ‘Julia ikaw <i>ang</i> reason.’<i> Wala namang ganon</i>.  I want everything to be okay and calm <i>muna</i> between the <i>magkakapatid </i>before I [speak]. <i>Hindi ko yun problema</i>. It’s not for me to fix and talk about. <i>Sa kanila na yun. Ang saya saya ko</i>,” said Julia who was launched last Friday, May 24, as the star of the upcoming teleserye <i>Confradia</i>.</div><div><br/></div><div>Although she seems closer now to her Tita Gretchen, Julia acknowledged that she has a lot of happy childhood memories with her Tita Claudine as well. “We used to be with her everyday, house everyday, grocery everyday. <i>Yun talaga yung pinakamasaya </i>with her, <i>yung mga</i> bonding. Super close <i>talaga</i>.” </div><div><br/></div><div>When asked who’s more generous between Gretchen and Claudine, the young actress wisely replied, “Honestly<i> pareho silang</i> generous. It’s unbelievable. Very sharing<i> sila sa </i>blessings.”</div><div><br/></div><div>She and her Tita Claudine may not have kept in touch lately, but that doesn’t mean that the bond between them is gone. “<i>Hindi naman siya nawala. </i>The thing about my family, <i>kahit gaano katagal kayong hindi nagkita, ‘pag nagkita kayo parang hindi matagal,</i> close <i>pa rin kami. Pareho pa rin ginagawa namin. </i>I’m not going to say <i>na nawala</i> [<i>yung</i> closeness with Tita Claudine].”</div><div><br/></div><div>On a lighter note, Julia admitted that she got the best traits from her mom Marjorie and aunts Gretchen and Claudine. “<i>Sa</i> <i>Tita </i>Claudine [I believe <i>nakuha ko</i>], <i>yung</i> passion <i>niya </i>for acting <i>kasi sobrang mahal niya ang pagarte. Sa Tita</i> Gretchen <i>ko, pareho din. Pero siguro yung</i> fashion side <i>tsaka yung palaging pagiging masayahin. Sa</i> work,<i> kapag pumupunta ako, kahit </i>late <i>na, ang saya niya pa rin. Ganon ako</i>, energetic. <i>Sa </i>mom <i>ko,</i> all in all, the way I think, the way I handle things. The same<i> kami</i> [<i>na</i> strong personality].”</div><div><br/></div>
