Vice Ganda jokes about Nancy Binay during his sold-out concert

051713-vice_main.jpgOnce again, Vice Ganda proved his status as one of the top performers in the country after filling up Araneta Coliseum during his concert i-Vice Ganda Mo ‘Ko sa Araneta held last May 17, Friday. The popular comedian performed in front of a sold out venue with many watching the show while standing up because there were no more seats available even in the general admission area. As early as Friday afternoon, Vice’s celebrity friends Kris Aquino and Anne Curtis were already making it known on social networking sites how excited they were to watch the show. Also seen watching in the audience were ABS-CBN president Charo Santos-Concio, director Wenn Deramas, Janice de Belen, Karylle, Raymond Gutierrez, Georgina Wilson, Ryan Bang, and Anne Curtis and her mom.

The show also boasted of a powerhouse line-up of guests like Daniel Padilla, Enrique Gil, Dawn Zulueta, Paulo Avelino, Regine Velasquez, Chokoleit, Pooh, and Ai-Ai De las Alas. During one of the segments of the program where Vice Ganda paid homage to the recent national elections, the 37-year-old performer took to the stage and announced that he wanted to make Nancy Binay his first lady. “Pag ako tumakbo na president promise magiging lalake ako, liligawan ko si Nancy Binay. Gusto ko siya. Nagagandahan ako sa kanya. Ang mga tipo niya ay malapit sa puso ko. Mga black beauty,” he said while the audience erupted in laughter.

Vice also made a few more lighthearted jokes, poking fun at Binay’s dark complexion. “Sa dami ng natatanggap kong mga tweets tungkol kay Nancy, napanaginipan ko si Nancy. Pero wala akong makita sa panaginip. Masyadong madilim. (laughs)” and “Napanaginipan ko nagkita kami sa Bora ni Nancy tapos nakita ko nakikipagtalo siya sa isang tattoo artist kasi hindi siya malagyan ng tattoo kasi hindi siya makita,” he said.

The Showtime host also made light of the rivalry between Nancy and Team PNoy candidate Risa Hontiveros saying Nancy is afraid of getting hit by Risa’s “magic alampay,” saying that Hontiveros would say, “Eh ano naman kung tamaan ka ng alamapay eh hindi ka naman magpapasa!” he joked.

But it was not just Nancy Binay who was the subject of Vice Ganda’s jokes that night because the comedian also made a reference to the recent word war in the Barretto clan while addressing his mother in the crowd. “Maraming salamat nanay at nandito ka, napasaya mo ako. Maraming salamat at hindi mo ako In-Inday Barretto!” he said.

Vice also explained to his fans the true meaning of the show. “i-Vice Ganda mo ako simply means to make people laugh. Lahat ng problema naiibsan sa pamamagitan ng tawa kaya ngayon hayaan niyong i-Vice Ganda ko kayo ngayong gabi!” he proclaimed.
