Zanjoe Marudo says Bea Alonzo would be proud of his gay role in 'Bromance'

051513-zanjoe_main.jpgAfter appearing in hit movies last year like 24/7 In Love and One More Try, Zanjoe Marudo said he is thankful to finally be given the lead role in comedy film Bromance where he plays identical twins who are always at odds with each other.

The 30-year-old actor said he did not mind that it took a while for him to headline a major film project. Siguro it's the right timing, right time. So nagawa namin ng sabay-sabay,” he shared.

The talented actor said he is also thankful for all the support and faith given to him by the people behind Bromance like director Wenn Deramas and Skylight Films' Enrico Santos.

The model-turned-actor said he refuses to give in to the pressure of headlining his first movie. Ma-pe-pressure siguro ako sa part two ganun.

After making the movie, Zanjoe said he knows his girlfriend Bea Alonzo would be okay with his role, given that he also played a gay character whom she falls in love with in 24/7 In Love.

Being in a serious relationship, Zanjoe said there was no need to ask permission from Bea about accepting the role. Ako ganun din ako,” he explained.

He said that he even got inspiration for his gay character Brandy's pout from his ladylove.

Watch Zanjoe Marudo along with Cristine Reyes, Nikki Valdez, Abbie Bautista, Arlene Muhlach and Joy Viado in the Skylight Films comedy Bromance starting May 15, Wednesday in theaters nationwide. For more Kapamilya updates, log on daily to Push.com.ph and follow Push_Mina on Twitter.
