Enchong Dee on Julia Montes: 'We're rebuilding the foundation of whatever we had last year'

<div><img src='' alt='051213-enchong_main.jpg' height='290' width='305' align='left' border='0'>Enchong Dee and Julia Montes’s budding relationship turned sour last year, but now that they are set to work together on a new primetime teleserye <i>Muling Buksan ang Puso</i>, will they give romance a second chance? “<i>Ako</i> I’m really, really happy <i>kasi isa sa mga dahilan kung bakit kami ganito ulit ngayon dahil sa Muling Buksan ang Puso. </i>I am thankful for <i>Muling Buksan Ang Puso kasi masaya na kami ni</i> Julia,” Enchong remarked in an interview during ABS-CBN’s trade launch.</div><div><br/></div><div>When asked if he meant that he’s now in a relationship with the actress, the actor clarified, “<i>Ang ibig kong sabihin kung ano yung</i> gap, <i>yung</i> space <i>na nagkaroon sa amin, wala na yun.</i> And <i>ngayon</i> I can say it in a straight face <i>na masaya kami,</i> now that we’re working.<i> Siyempre pinangarap din namin ‘to nung</i> time <i>na yun na medyo magkasama kami.</i> At now <i>magkasama talaga kami </i>almost everyday because of this show.”</div><div><br/></div><div>The actor shared that the time they spent apart was a learning experience for the both of them. He added that it’s now easy to look back. “<i>Naging mas matanda kami,</i> not physically, but mentally<i> naging mas</i> mature <i>kami.</i> And <i>ngayon parang napagtatawanan na lang namin ‘yun</i>. <i>Sabi ko nga, totoo pala talaga ‘yun na </i>after a while<i> na </i>all the bad things that happened to you, <i>pagtatawanan niyo na lang</i>,” he said.</div><div><br/></div><div>On the status of their relationship, Enchong commented, “We’re rebuilding the foundation of whatever we have last year.”</div><div><br/></div><div>To make up for the lost time, Enchong even asked the staff of <i>Muling Buksan ang Puso</i> to grant him a free day to spend with Julia. “<i>Nagsabi ako sa </i>production <i>na </i>hopefully <i>na magkaroon kami ng isang araw na mag-</i>wakeboard. <i>Dadalhin ko siya kung saan ako nagwa</i>wakeboard.”</div><div><br/></div><div>He admitted that they already talked things through to start bridging the gap. “Twice <i>kami nagkaroon ng </i>incident<i> na kaming dalawa lang</i>. And ‘<i>yun don pa lang usap-usap, nabigyan na ng magandang</i> result<i> lahat</i>.”</div>

Enchong Dee talks about how he and Julia Montes are becoming close again.
