051013-zanjoe_main.jpgAfter getting favorable reviews for his role as a gay best friend in the Star Magic anniversary movie 24/7 In Love, Zanjoe Marudo said he is excited about getting to play the role of twin brothers in the upcoming comedy Bromance. In the movie, Zanjoe plays the roles of macho Brando and his gay twin brother Brandy.

When he first got offered the roles, Zanjoe said he had no hesitation with the fact that he was going to play a flamboyant gay role, whether it's for comedy or heavy drama.

The 30-year-old actor said he had no problem with the nuances of his character because he grew up around gay people almost all his life.

During the Bromance presscon held last May 5, the model-turned-actor also revealed his views on homosexual relationships. Yun ang importante,” he stated.

Zanjoe admitted he has had friends of the same gender who may have had feelings for him before.

The Kapamilya heartthrob revealed he even had pegs for his character Brandy which was inspired from some people around him in ABS-CBN.

The moreno actor said he has also gotten a lot of acting advice from direk Wenn Deramas and his co-stars who play his gay best friends in the movie Lassy and Joey Paras.

Zanjoe said he would not mind if ever people see him doing more gay roles in the future, similar to the career path of the late Comedy King Dolphy. Yun rin ang mas gusto kong mangyari,” he said.

Zanjoe said he is not afraid of being stereotyped in gay roles because of his love for his craft.
