The 32-year-old singer said he is just thankful that no one in his household got hurt during the incident. “What’s important to me is that hindi kami sinaktan, walang nasaktan sa mga tao ko sa bahay so okay na rin yung mga nanakaw, puwede naming pag-trabahuan ulit. Sa bahay kasi apat kami. It’s me, my personal assistant, my katulong sa bahay and my driver. Eh sobrang pagod kami this past week kasi we’ve been doing mall shows, travelling out of town so pagod na pagod yung driver at yung assistant ko. Siguro kaya hindi na naming napansin na may pumasok na sa sobrang pagod namin,” he shared.
“Sa loob ng bahay we found out that he or she or whoever went through the windows sa second floor, sa window ng banyo kasi nakita naming madaming footsteps na madumi dun. It was pretty scary kasi this was not the first time. Second time na actually ito nangyari. The first time was when I moved into that house, wala pang mga grills so pinasok talaga ako sa kuwarto ko while I was asleep. So kahapon naman pinasok kami while we were all asleep. And then it’s weird kasi hindi naman kumahol yung aso so it seems na either hindi sila nakita nung aso, kilala sila ng aso. Hindi kami nagising kasi the person must have been really, really quiet. Siguro expert talaga and sobrang pagod na rin kasi kami. We’ve been working for the past weeks every day. We came home from recording that day at 2 in the morning na so siguro sa sobrang pagod din naming lahat hindi na naming napansin,” he said.
Although the total amount stolen from him has not been confirmed, Jed said he is not discounting the possibility of it being an inside job. “Ayoko namang magbintang so I was leaving it up to whoever was responsible to it like the security sa village namin will do whatever they can. There are speculations, people we can think of at the top of our heads pero of course ako personally I don’t want to point fingers. Sa akin lang naman, what matters to me is that the people in my house are safe and hindi sinaktan lahat. Whatever na nakuha niya, sana makatulong na lang sa pamilya niya,” he said.
The talented performer also admitted his house does not have any CCTV cameras. “Yun ang kulang sa amin ngayon so I have to install a CCTV sa bahay. But siguro extra careful na lang siguro. I’m actually talking to my uncle right now. We’re getting a security guard in our house to bantay. Siguro sa gabi lang. and then yun nga, I have to install a CCTV in my house and kakausapin ko din yung security ng village namin,” he shared.
Jed admitted he is now more actively looking to move to a different area. “I’m actually looking for a house now with the help of my uncle and my aunt, my management. They’re looking for a house for me. Kailangan ko na rin maglipat kasi aside from the fact na yung area ko is binabaha every time umuulan, lalo na ngayon na second time na ako ninakawan so I think it’s high time to move out. Sana hindi na maulit kasi nakakatakot, nakakapraning na yung ganung mga instances di ba?” he added.
Jed also sent out a message for the robber who invaded his house. “Sana yung ninakaw mo, sana makatulong yun sa inyo at sa pamilya mo. Sana huwag mo na lang ulitin kasi masama yun. Magtrabaho ka na lang para magkaroon ka din ng mga ganung bagay. I just wish you the best and mag-ingat ka na lang,” he said
Jed’s All Original album is now available in record bars nationwide for only P350. You can also download it from iTunes and Amazon.com. It contains 10 OPM tracks which Jed is very proud of. “It’s my first full project with Star Records and it is also my first all-original album. We have put so much work into it that the very moment I heard the final tracks, I was already looking forward to sharing it with everyone who has been supporting my music,” he said.
