Maja Salvador on real score with Gerald Anderson: 'Hindi pa kami'

<div><img src='' alt='030613-maja-main.jpg' align='left' border='0' height='290' width='305'>Amidst the controversies surrounding her growing romance with Gerald Anderson, Maja Salvador refused to talk about her posh Valentine date with the Kapamilya heartthrob, adding that they’re not yet officially a couple. “<i>Hindi pa [kami]. Agad agad? Ayoko pangunahan. Sa akin na lang muna. Siguro</i> in time. <i>Huwag muna ngayon mag</i>-share. <i>Sinagot niya naman ’di ba? Sinabi naman niya na kinikilala namin isa’t-isa,</i>” she said in an interview with <a href='http://Push.com.ph'>Push.com.ph</a> and a few entertainment media at her contract signing with the Tupperware brand held last Tuesday, March 5. </div><div><br/></div><div>Maja was aware that Gerald granted an interview at the recently-concluded Enpress Golden Screen Awards where he reportedly revealed his special feelings for her. On her part, Maja said that she appreciates the actor’s effort to defend her from intrigues. “<i>Hindi ko po alam eh kung ano man nangyayari sa amin, kung ano man ipinapakita ni Gerald sa akin ngayon. Aamin ko masaya naman ako. Pero hanggang dun muna. Ayoko muna magdetalye. Pero sobrang salamat sa kanya kasi nararamdaman ko na</i> special <i>ako talaga sa kanya at ipinagtatanggol niya ako kahit papaano</i>.”  </div><div><br/></div><div>When asked about Gerald’s courting style, Maja revealed that they enjoy being in each other’s company. But she claimed that she’s not the girly type and actually prefers getting to know the actor by mingling with their set of friends. “<i>Parang hindi naman nagliligawan eh. Parang nage</i>-enjoy <i>sa c</i>ompany <i>ng isa’t isa. Kapag may nanliligaw sa’yo maarte ka, nagpapaka</i>-girl <i>ka… Hindi ako ganon eh, hindi ako ganon sa kanya. Basta masya lang ako sa </i>company <i>niya at mga </i>friends<i> niya. Siya rin nag-e</i>-enjoy <i>kasama mga cousins ko</i>.” </div><div><br/></div><div>Meanwhile, Maja also explained the reason behind her recent Instagram post wherein she added a quote from Bob Marley which stated: “Who are you to judge the way I live? I know I’m not perfect and I don’t live to be. But before you go pointing fingers, make sure your hands are clean.” If you will notice some of the comments on her Instagram posts, a huge number of online users still couldn’t accept the idea of her dating her best friend’s ex-boyfriend. </div><div><br/></div><div>Although she’s strong enough to deal with other people’s negative opinion of her, Maja stressed that she doesn’t want her family to be dragged in the controversies being thrown her way. “<i>Aaminin ko na</i> every time <i>na nagpo</i>-post <i>ako sa</i> Instagram <i>may mga </i>bad comments [<i>yung iba</i>]. And <i>hindi naman ako istatwa lang </i>or <i>bato, tao rin naman ako. Nag</i>post a<i>ko ng ganon kasi dinadamay rin yung nanay ko pati family ko. Wine</i>-welcome <i>ko din naman yung mga </i>bad comments <i>na sinasabi nila kasi opinyon nila yun. Pero hindi </i>everyday<i> tatanggapin mo yung sinasabi nila. Kasi kahit na alam mong ‘di totoo wala ka magagawa opinyon nila yun. Pero kung idamay nila yung </i>family <i>mo, sobra na, walang kinalaman yung nanay </i>at family <i>ko kung ano man ibinabato niyo sa akin.</i>”</div><div><br/></div><div>When asked if it helps that Gerald is there to support her through her ordeal, Maja claimed that there are a lot of people in her life who keeps her going. In her 8 years in the business, she already had her fair share of intrigues and she surpassed them through the help of her loved ones. “<i>Hindi lang naman porket may taong nagpaparamdam sayo</i> [<i>na</i> special <i>ka] sa kanya na manggagaling yung</i> support<i> na yun at inspirasyon. Kailan lang</i> <i>siya dumating sa mundo ko, kailan ko lang siya naging ka</i>-close.<i> Kung wala siya anong mangyayari sa akin kung siya lang ang pinagkukunan ko ng inspirasyon? Hindi. Ang dami [pang iba]—trabaho ko</i>, fans, family. <i>Basta</i> thankful <i>ako kasi, tulad ng sinabi niya sa</i> interview <i>niya,</i> special <i>ako sa kanya. Siyempre</i> thankful <i>ako dun</i>,” she added. </div><div><br/></div><div>Despite the intrigues she has encountered lately, Maja also took the opportunity to thank her Tupperware family for renewing her contract as endorser of her very own perfume line including Ivana, H Woman, A Little Romance and her signature scents Maja and Shine by Maja. “<i>Nakakatuwa kasi yung mga</i> endorsement <i>hindi nila basta basta ibinibigay ‘yan. Dapat pinagkakatiwalalan talaga yung</i> endorser<i> nila.</i> I feel blessed and thankful <i>dahil nandiyan pa rin sila at nag</i>-decide <i>sila na i-</i>renew <i>ako. Masaya maging kapamilya nila. Hindi lang produkto ang inaalagaan pati kaming mga </i>endorser.<i> Sobrang </i>happy <i>ako, pang apat na taon ko na ito sa kanila</i>,” she beamed. </div><div><br/></div>
