Even though DJ already clarified the issue by admitting during his The Buzz interview that he was not kissed on the lips as originally thought by the public, fans took to social media site Twitter to express their outrage at what happened, with the hashtag #RespectDanielPadilla trending for two days since the incident. Kathryn admitted to Push.com.ph that she as just as shocked at the fan's behavior, but chose to understand the situation. “Well feeling ko nun, nagulat ako,” she said. The Must Be Love actress says she just does not want to make a big deal out of it. “Siguro na-bother ako kung hindi okay yun kay DJ pero feeling ko na-overwhelm lang din siguro yung fan and hindi natin siya masisisi,” she explained.
Kath said that at the end of the day, she s just concerned about DJ's feelings. But the 16-year-old clarified she does not want their followers to punish or get angry at the overenthusiastic fan. “Hindi, hindi ako galit. Okay lang pero sana lang maiwasan kasi baka siyempre kay DJ, ma-off siya,” she admitted.
Kath and DJ are currently busy promoting their Star Cinema movie Must Be Love which will be shown in theaters nationwide starting March 13.
