Dubbed as the Prince of Teleserye Theme Songs, Bryan Termulo has been very vocal about his admiration for Sarah Geronimo. He is also a self-confessed Popster (Sarah’s fan), even if he does not attend the Popstar Princess’s gigs, like mall shows.
“Anything about Sarah pinapanood ko. Lahat ng album niya meron ako. Popster ako sa puso’t isip, hindi man ako pumunta sa mga mall shows ni Sarah,” he confessed. He even recalled one incident some years ago when he ran after Sarah who was going to watch a movie in a mall. When he caught up with the singer-actress, Bryan said that he asked Sarah if he could have a picture with her and told her that he was a big fan.
Last December 2012, Bryan, who is now under Star Magic, made a guest appearance on Sarah’s now-defunct show, Sarah G. Live. He said that he was very surprised with what Sarah said to him. “Nagulat ako kasi…kilala niya ba talaga ako? As in [sinabi ni Sarah], ‘Bryan, kilala kita. Kilalang-kilala talaga kita.’ Sabi ko, ‘Talaga?’ ‘The famous Bryan,’ sabi pa nga niya sa akin.” He asked Sarah how she came to know about him, but the singer didn’t elaborate. He said that he just thanked her for inviting him to appear on her show, which Bryan considered a big break for someone like him.
Given the chance, Bryan declared that he would be very happy to get the chance to know Sarah better. “Di muna ako sa popormahan. Gusto ko lang talaga malaman ‘yung hobbies niya, kung ano ang routine niya sa buhay, gusto ko lang talaga siyang makilala,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Bryan said he is really flattered to be called the Prince of Teleserye Theme Songs, for songs like “Dadalhin” and “Hanggang Ngayon” that were used as theme songs for teleseryes. “Napakasaya. Parang title ng pangalan. I feel so blessed and overwhelmed. Bibihira sa isang singer na magkaroon ng ganon,” he beamed.
Bryan will hold his first-ever solo concert this March 9 at the Music Museum at 8 pm. Titled Bryan Termulo XXV, the said concert will mark the singer’s 25th birthday and will feature special guests like Bugoy Drilon, Liezel Garcia, KZ Tandingan, and Melai Cantiveros. “Sobrang saya pero kabado habang papalapit ang araw. Music Museum na ito. Concert venue talaga ng performances,” he said.
He revealed that the concert was one year in the making and took three months to prepare. He acknowledged the fact that singing teleserye theme songs helped him have recall among listeners. “Hindi siguro makikilala si Bryan kundi sa mga theme songs, so habang andyan pa, habang meron pa akong teleserye theme songs, bakit hindi natin patikimin ang followers ko ng concert?”
He added, “Dun ko malalaman how far talaga. Kung mapuno man ‘yon masasabi ko na-established ako kahit papaano nung mga songs na ibinigay sa akin.”
