Gabby Concepcion says he often advises KC to use both heart and mind when it comes to love

<div><img src='' alt='021013-gabby_main.jpg' width='305' height='290' align='left' border='0'>Gabby Concepcion opened up recently when asked if his daughter, KC Concepcion, talks to him about her love life and the French guy being rumored to be the actress-host’s boyfriend. At the recent press conference of the movie <i>A Moment In Time</i>, he revealed that he recently talked to his daughter before she flew to the US.</div><div><br/></div><div>KC’s dad seemed apprehensive at first when he was prodded about his daughter’s French suitor, Pierre Emmanuel Plassart. He continued that he does not ask KC when it comes to her romantic life.</div><div><br/></div><div>He even teased the members of the press who interviewed him that they know more about her daughter’s love life more than he does. “<i>Di ko kasi siya tinatanong, di ko alam</i>,” he said elusively. “<i>Siguro nahuli na talaga ako sa balita. Hindi ako nakikialam sa </i>relationship<i> niya</i>.”</div><div><br/></div><div>Asked if he was affected when he found out that his daughter broke up with then boyfriend Piolo Pascual, Gabby replied, “<i>Ang sa atin kahit ang dinadaanan niyan nasasaktan, nasasaktan tayo. [Kapag] masaya siya, masaya tayo.</i> Automatic ‘<i>yun eh</i>.” He also clarified that he does not have any ill feelings towards Piolo, after he and KC broke up. “<i>Wala, eh. Hindi naman ako ang may relasyon</i>.”</div><div><br/></div><div>The former matinee idol suggested that he may have already met Pierre and recalled that KC introduced to him a foreigner once. “<i>Pero di naman ako matanong, eh,</i> (like) ‘What is your name?’; ‘What do you do here?’; What’s your job?; ‘Are you serious with my daughter?’ <i>Malay ko ba kung ano ang ginagawa nila, [baka] kaibigan lang, di ba</i>? So <i>hindi ko na inaano</i>,” he explained.</div><div><br/></div><div>Gabby was then asked if he does not ask KC about the guys she is dating or she is with at a given moment. “<i>Hindi ko naman inaalam kung sila. Basta ang pagkakakilala sa akin kaibigan, o di ba? Wala siyang sinasabing,</i> ‘Pa, this is my boyfriend.’ <i>Ako di naman ako nagtatanong. Ba’t ko tatanungin?</i>”</div><div><br/></div><div>He said that it does not matter to him if KC’s boyfriend is from showbiz or not. “Basta nagmamahalan sila; they’re willing to make it work out, ‘yun ‘yun, eh,” he shared. </div><div><br/></div><div>While he does not pry about KC’s love life, Gabby was quick to add that it does not mean they don’t have this kind of talk. He just wants his daughter to initiate the conversation when it comes to the matters of the heart. “<i>Nag-uusap kami</i>. In fact<i> siya ‘yung madalas magtanong</i> [like], ‘As a boy or as a man, Pa, how do you do…’, <i>kumukuha siya ng</i> insights. <i>Madalas ko namang sinasabi,</i> ‘When you fall in love, fall in love with your heart. Use your mind also. Basically, just follow your feelings, your instinct. <i>Sa buhay kasi di naman pwedeng puro puso, </i>of course, <i>dun nag-uumpisa,’</i>” he related.</div><div><br/></div>

Gabby Concepcion says it does not matter if KC falls in love with a guy who is from showbiz or not, as long as they are willing to make it work.
